Had a lunch meeting today and ordered from Tope La - by far the best food I've had in Hammond! I had the sugarcane grilled salmon with pecan rice and green beans. Everyone else agreed it was fabulous and we hope to go back/get takeout again soon!Highly recommend!

Oh, sweet Eddie's! I've been coming to Eddie's since I was in middle school. I'm now 25 years old and don't pass up Hammond without stopping for some of Eddie's frozen custard. Mr. Eddie is so personable--he always remembers me even though it's been years since I've been a regular. I bring my friends and family every chance I get-- I love sharing this Hammond special with my loved ones. The Tangi-turtle is a must have! Then again, I love it all. Be sure to try the flavor of the day!

If you want fancy, find somewhere else. If you want great seafood this is the place. A group of us came for lunch the other day, the special was Fried Catfish and Shrimp platter served with one side and hush puppies. Everything way good, the Shrimp were some of the best I've ever had. The seafood market looked great, wish I lived closer!

DON'S SEAFOOD More Than Eighty Years of Exceptional Seafood South Louisiana locals and visitors have been drawn to DON'S authentic Cajun cuisine for more than 80 years. Menu selections including traditional Landry family recipes, and more recent original creations like Zydeco Shrimp, are well worth repeat visits. Many stop in daily for oysters on the half shell or boiled crawfish in season. DON'S bartenders serve Signature Old Fashioned cocktails alongside the newest specialty drinks, many made with Louisiana products. DON'S SEAFOOD began in 1934, when Don Landry opened his first restaurant and bar in downtown Lafayette with $400 borrowed from his uncle. Prohibition had just been lifted and at only 24 years old, he envisioned serving drinks and offering a simple menu featuring fresh local seafood. Four generations later, the Landry family has expanded that humble beginning into what would eventually become the DON'S SEAFOOD of today. Continuing the tradition, the Landry family still owns and operates each location. An extensive menu of original South Louisiana Cajun family recipes, the freshest Gulf seafood and sizzling steaks is offered. Each location boasts a unique Acadiana-inspired décor, all have a full-service bar and grill, perfect for casual diners or sports enthusiasts. Every DON'S SEAFOOD grill features an open charbroiler where diners can watch exclusive dishes being prepared like DON'S Original Jacked Up Oysters loaded with bacon, jalapenos and pepper jack cheese. Whether you're just passing through South Louisiana or live right around the corner, you'll find a DON'S SEAFOOD location near you in Lafayette, Denham Springs, Gonzales, Hammond, Covington and Metairie.
They are always wonderful. I had Mr. CJ as my server/bartender. A fantastic young man. They had the seafood platter on special for Tuesday night.
I tell you what, it will fill you up plus some. The drinks were great, the seafood platter kept the tradition of being one 9f the very best of Louisiana.
I love these restaurants and dine there wherever they have a restaurant. Wish there were more. Thank you

My husband and I spent 10 hours on the road and desperately needed a good stop to unwind and grab good food before finishing our trip home. We weren’t looking to spend a lot of money, but wanted good food and ambience. Lee’s 100% delivered!
Walking in you are greeted by a drive-in parking lot, retro neon, checkered floors, and silver and teal leather seats/booths. Pair that with the retro artwork and I felt like I was in yesteryear. It was great and perfect let done.
The menu has a lot of great options. Diner food, seafood favorites, homey options, some modern twists, and a variety of frozen goodies.
I got the Turkey club with fries and they were good. It’s hard to mess this up, but I enjoyed it! My husband’s patty melt was DELICIOUS! The wheatberry toasted bread was have great texture and taste without feeling too greasy. The meat was good and he devoured the whole thing. He got the sweet potato fries and they were an excellent compliment to the meal.
The service and price gave this place 5 stars. We never had to ask for refills and our waitress was really nice. We both got meals and drinks for under $30. That’s a good deal for a sit down place with such charm. We can’t wait to travel through Hammond again!

Your Mom's is now Our Mom's and it moved approximately one block north and one block east, still facing south. The building is freshly remodeled, extremely nice and clean. We ate upstairs lots of big screen televisions. The burgers were top shelf quality, loved the jalapeno burger. The owner is all in, you can tell by the new building and the great food and drinks. They do not serve coke products the one big disappointment.

Tried the pizza numerous times and it is the best. Always order with the sweet sauce. Love this stuff. The lasagne is very good, Muffulettas are great.

I've gone to La Carreta dozens of times. It's consistently good food with a fun outdoor atmosphere (also have indoor seating). I have celiac and they were able to accommodate my requests to ensure I had a gluten-free meal (I always order tacos with corn tortillas).
