Rik’s is a few minutes from Rt 70 and the Outlets in a strip mall. We were traveling thru Hagerstown about lunch time and found this relaxed eatery on the internet. I need to eat pretty simply; my husband enjoys a wide variety of tastes. The menu looked perfect for us and we liked what we read about their food philosophy. Greeted by a cheerful and helpful staff. I had the Turkey and Brie, my husband had a burger slider special. Do not miss the sweet potato fries served with apple butter...yum! Place was hopping at lunch with a diverse clientele of ages including kids.

Leisurely lunch/dinner. Buddy and I started out with liters of Hofbrau dunkels from the tap, the girls drank .25 and .5 liters of hefeweiss, also tap. Appetizers included the Wurst Sampler (array of Sausages for two people, served with Mustards and Curry Sauce), goulash and potato soups.
Main courses included, from the lunch menu, the Reuben Sandwich (thinly sliced premium Corned Beef topped with Sauerkraut, Schmankerl Dressing and over baked with Provolone Cheese, served with Pommes Frites); and, for me: the Münchener Sahnegeschnetzeltes (Sautéed Beef and Pork Tenderloin Tips in Cream Sauce “Munich Style”, served over Homemade Spätzle with Green Beans wrapped in Bacon). Dinner included pumpkin seed bread (I think) accompanied with a Camembert cheese spread and white churned butter.
For dessert, we shared a Apfel Strudel served warm with vanilla sauce. Buddy and I also drank half liters of freshly tapped marzen bier.
The meals were excellent all around, service was great, restrooms were immaculately clean and local parking garage was no-charge yesterday.

While there are other BBQ restaurants closer to home, we consistently travel to Hagerstown to eat at Hempen Hill. The barbeque is always tremendous -- I love the brisket and a new favorite is the pulled white meat chicken with the white barbeque sauce. My husband's favorite is the Fish Reuben, an unusual combination of white fish, Swiss cheese, coleslaw, and Sriracha remoulade.

We stopped by on our way back from a visit to PA and called ahead for a reservation. We were so glad we did because it was quite busy when we arrived. We were seated quickly and served quickly as well.
We had the fried mozzarella wedges for appetizers and they were very good. My wife had the crab cakes which were excellent and I had the swordfish special which was very good. I started with the crab soup and my wife with a ceasar salad which were excellent as well.
We're so glad we found this place and could get in....all in all a great meal.

Dolce is a precious gem discovered in a small eastern town. It is as authentically Italian as you will find anywhere this side of Italy. The Italian guys who run it are young, friendly, kind to their customers, and very handsome. The place is small so you need to get there before the rush to get a table, even during the weekdays. They offer both table service and take out and were busier than a 6-armed paper hanger, yet everyone is taken care of immediately. In one word, their food & service is OUTSTANDING! They offer fantastic pizza, every traditional Italian dish, and even a couple of Greek and German entrees to round out the extensive menu. Our group had a variety from veal Parmesan to moussaka, beef ravioli, pizza, and spaghetti w/ meatballs. Everything is made from scratch and is absolutely DELICIOUS! They serve nice fresh salads too! At the end of the meal, they bring out a large plate of homemade beignet's (which is just like the famous donuts from New Orleans). Their take out business was brisk as the pizza's were flying out the door. This is one place you don't want to miss if you are anywhere near historic Hagerstown, MD. Highly recommend!

Pros: Excellent menu, good food, reasonably priced. Cons: Slow service, wait times frustrating for meal and almost always slow to get check. Dining and kitchen appear short staffed. Waitress misinformed included sides when ordering, charged for a side she said was included, and manager refused to adjust bill for her mistake, but we'll return for the delicious offerings when we have time to waste for slow service.

We came in for the lunch buffet and had to wait for a table! That's a good thing though cuz you know the food HAS to be fresh! Being a buffet place the tables turn over quick enough that we didn't wait long. The naan here is SO good. You have a choice between garlic and regular. I always ask for both. So happy they say yes! The dishes are clearly marked and the variety is good. Id say they offer about 6 dishes besides rice. They also have a salad and rice pudding. They do run A/C in here but as with most Indian places I find it hot. The bathroom area is also the ice machine and storage for boxes and looks a mess. The server was very nice and always available when we needed a drink, napkins, or naan. I hope this review was helpful! If so please click "YES"!

We love Olive Garden Restaurants and this one just got added to our favorites. We were there on a Sunday evening around 6:30 pm. The restaurant was extremely busy, but they were very efficient at getting people seated as quickly as possible. We didn't even wait as long as they said it would be and they offered us half price drinks at the bar while we waited! Once seated, our waiter was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our entire dining experience. The food was excellent from appetizers to the salad and breadsticks and main dishes. We will revisit this restaursnt when we come through this area again next year.

We love Chick-fil-A. Only fast food we eat. This location is not as good as the one in Martinsburg. They do not offer the free senior drinks though and not as friendly as the one in Martinsburg but still better than other places. They have really good food though.

It was surprisingly crowded. It is seat yourself so several 2-person parties took the few 4-tops causing a 10min. wait. However, there are comfortable casual seating areas in both the Washington St side and the Potomac Street side. The specials were good. Everyone really enjoyed their lunches with happy plates all around. They serve your drink with a plastic and a paper straw, both teas and soda. I love paper straws even though neither of my friends were fans with their first try. The staff is friendly, and the setting/atomosphere is adorable and quaint. This is definitely a great lunch spot with a flare to their offerings.
