I usually am in Greenville about 4 times a year. I am a doctorate student at ECU. This restaurant has been one of my favorites for a long time. There is a sign out front advertising a student discount. I showed my ID badge that clearly states 'graduate student' and the man who cashed me out refused to give me the discount. It is not about the $2 it is just the concept. He told me that he had never seen a badge like that and could not use it. As a professional it was just really disappointing they refused to take my student ID. The food however was good but I won't return.

As always, such an iconic place to visit. The bbq sandwich with slaw was very good. I have had it before and this time it lacked the smokey flavor. May have been from a bigger pig or bigger pig part( ham, shoulder). Still one of the best around. Love the pick up window. Best part is the vehicles, BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, old vans, pick up truck, etc! No social class here! Everyone welcome!

The scullery has a vibrant trendy vibe, and great food. Recommend to try are the grilled cheese sandwiches, or the black bean burger. The spritzers are incredible, My favorite is basil/lemon. Go there with friends, family , or alone. It's just a fun, friendly place to go.

We asked a local for a non-chain lunch spot and this is where they sent us. We both ordered the caprese panini which came with 2 sides. The sides were fantastic! onion rings, pasta salad, corn & black bean salad and slaw. So fresh and tasty. The only reason I only gave 4 stars was that the sandwich was just bread with the greens, tomato and mozzarella. Just the filling in dry bread. Not grilled, just ingredients in dry bread. We asked for and were given some balsamic vinegar which made the sandwich perfectly yummy. So ask for the balsamic, but just know that they charged $1 for it. Really, they did.

Five of us stopped on Friday about 6:00 and the parking lot was full so I was certain we would be in for a long wait. As soon as you walk in, the smells are incredible and I could tell this would be good food....MoreThank you for your wonderful review. We look forward to serving you again in the near future. Fabulous food, and super friendly and efficient service. Nice little patio garden, small but adequate wine list. Be sure to ask for suggestions from your server.

CPW's has Italian roots paired with a culinary exploration of global and ethnic food styles.
I have been going there since moving back to Greenville. They have the best service. Best food. It's outstanding and reasonably priced for the excellent quality and independent non chain restaurant touches that you can't get anywhere else. They have an excellent beer and wine selection. Some nights there is free wine tastings and other nights you may see a 3 piece jazz band playing . Not what you would expect from a small college town.
Trust me, you will not be disappointed!!

Just finished an amazing lunch ( first time ) at Cafe Duo. From Winston Salem and here for my wife’s appointment today here in Greenville. Took a chance and tried Cafe Duo, what a great lunch experience. Had the special today, homemade mushroom ravioli and a green salad with balsamic vinegar. The lunch was stellar, do not miss trying this special spot. Fresh, friendly and great food!! Go there and enjoy lunch or dinner, you will live it!!

I love barbecue and especially like to eat it in NC, so when I found myself in Greenville, this was the obvious choice. We tried the pork, the fried chicken and several sides. I got a “small” plate of barbecue, which easily was enough for 2 meals. My spouse’s large fried chicken lasted him 2 meals as well. Both meats were very good. I liked the slaw, but it would not be to everyone’s taste. The mac and cheese was the creamy stovetop variety and was delicious. The green beans tasted like they came straight from a can. The corn sticks were not very good; the hush puppies, on the other hand, are really good. Everybody was friendly and nice. We’ll be back soon.
