Love this place. Great burgers, fries, onion rings and fried jalapenos and dill pickles. I so look forward to that icy draft beer. Don't forget the jalapeno ketchup they make and all the peanuts you can handle. Super family place.

Sharon Arends has had the Coffee Grinder for many years and has always had a standard of excellence! Formerly located on the Square (where Paradise is now), her loyal clientele have followed her to the entrance of HEB where she has a store even more excellent than the old one. Same fantastic tastes and great array of coffees and teas....stop here and THEN shop!

We enjoyed the fixed menu which was poblano soup ,delicious but should have been thicker for my tastes. Next a lobster avocado salad , filet with mashed potatoes an asparagus garnish hollandaise. This filet was just okay not as tender as most filets and although I requested rare it was closer to medium rare. Desert should have been creme Brulee. They ran out of that. Not sure how this happens when you are offering a fixed menu. You could choose among any other desert so we had chocolate chefs creation that was yummy.
They also gave us a card good for the creme Brulee next time we're in. A nice gesture. We eat here fairly often and the food is consistently good. They have an excellent wait staff.

As one of TripAdvisor's top picks we decided to try it out. We weren't disappointed. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals. From the daily special stew, chicken fried steak, to cobb salad. And of course we shared some coconut meringue pie and lemon chess...MoreHI Murray, we agree, Tamela is a great server!. Thanks for the wonderful review.

Ambience is pure Texas ... though a little noisy. We had chicken fingers, baked chicken, and fried catfish. It was good but chicken fingers is my favorite. Real breast pieces chicken fried to perfection. Love the biscuits and honey. Mashed potatoes are real, not powdered. The white gravy adds a nice touch. The green beans are bland but cooked well. The salad could be left in the kitchen. Iceberg lettuce. I recommend going to Babes when you are really hungry. Refills are available on vegetables. Not sure about the meats. I’ve never needed a refill. Family friendly environment and you can get your dance moves on with a Honey Pokey line dance. We took a friend from India. He loved it.

We recently selected the 1890 Grill to celebrate my husbands birthday, since they offer one of his favorite things Duck Breast. Sadly we were informed by our waiter that was the one thing NOT offered on the menu that night. My husband actually wanted to leave since they did not have his favorite dish. We persevered beginning with a Wedge Salad which was delicious. The birthday boy was still pouting so he had a bowl of potato soup with which he was not impressed. I elected to have the Crab Cake appetizer as my main course. Nothing outstanding about this dish at all. I would recommend forgoing this at the 1890 Grill and heading to Eddie “V”s in Fort Worth if you crave a delicious crab cake. All in all a most disappointing evening.

We made a point to dine at Stumpy’s again when stopping by Granbury because my kiddos loved the place last summer when we were in town. It didn’t disappoint. My daughter liked it so much she bought a Stumpy’s sweat shirt as souvenirs in their gift shop.

This is really a coffee shop, with some great food. Mostly sandwiches but very good ones with a nice local feel. Coffee, and mimosas are great before a show at the opera house. Lunch and dinner are also great. Try it for Brunch.
