Reserved two weeks in advance. We we were seated at a private balcony table for four above the main dining room and away from the busyness of the capacity patronage. Our server Chris was excellent.
Excellent bartender in the evening with high demand this Saturday night. Three of us selected stuffed lobster entrees and one selected seafood fettuccine. Shared two appetizers and two desserts. Prefer the seafood at Luke Wholey's Alaskan Grille in the Strip District for special occasion (pricey) fine dining but that venue has a rustic, noisy atmosphere. Hartwood Restaurant dining room is a more elegant experience. The scallops in the seafood fettuccine were bland, but the sauce was tasty. The lazy lobster was a bit overdone and the cream sauce rather boring, as were roasted cauliflower sides and rice. Appetizers Caesar salad with anchovies was fine, fried calamari was ordinary bar food. Portions did not satisfy our appetites. Creme brule'e was an excellent dessert choice. Several family members are excellent chefs and they prepare our major holiday meals at home. Whereas this dinner was enjoyable for my wife's birthday meal, when we visit again it will be to the adjacent Whispers Pub; our recommendation for lunch, late night drinks, appetizers and desserts .

Quaint little hidden gem in Millvale. Beautiful pastries, cakes, croissants, and ohh the macarons are unbelievably divine. My husband tasted his espresso macaron after he got to the car and he immediately went back in to get more. If we had tried the almond macaron before we got home, we would have definitely bought more of those too. They were my favorite.
We loved the croissants and the other pastries we bought. We sampled the french breton cake and it was buttery perfection.
If you’re in the area, it is a must to visit!

Great selection of pastries & also some baguette sandwiches. Coffee is good. We were there in mid-morning on a weekday and for most of the time there was no line. There is no indoor seating, but there are two tables out front on the sidewalk.

Prantl's Bakery is a Pittsburgh institution. Its "Burnt Almond Torte" and 100+ sinful sweets have been a tradition for the last 40 years. In fact, there's been a bakery in continuous operation at the flagship Shadyside store for over 100 years. Prantl's is a bakery in the German tradition, with old-fashioned fruit Danish and nut-filled coffeecakes, but we can't help but get excited about some of our "new favorites" as well, like key lime pie and our buttery croissants. In addition to our mouth watering special order cakes, we are famous for our "Burnt Almond Torte", which was conceived by Henry Prantl after a trip to California. There was an almond glut the year he went and the Almond Board was trying to get bakers to use almonds in new and inspiring ways. Henry picked up a few ideas and brought them back to Pittsburgh where he refined them into our current recipe for "Burnt Almond Torte", a unique and addictive dessert. If you've never had one, you really do have to try one. If you have had one, you know what we're talking about! Henry and Jane Prantl retired from the business in 2007. The bakery is now owned and operated by John M. Felice, who strives to maintain the tradition of high quality baked goods. We hope you agree . .
Just going into this bakery is a sensory event! Everything smells Devine! Try the Pinole cookings, out of this world! And the cakes are to die for. Service is always fast and the ladies always friendly. Worth the drive ?

I have had Le Thai on my radar for some time, but had not yet had the opportunity to give it a try. Based on feedback from other TripAdvisor reviewers, it was time to take the step. I ordered take away vs eat in and chose a few of my Thai favorites: basil chicken and Thai fried rice. The fried rice was very good w overall fresh flavor, tho it could have been a bit more spicy. The basil chicken was fresh, but w a bit too much of the 'licorice' flavor. I would definitely return to try a few more of the menu items, because every thing was well prepared: crisp vegetables, great combination of flavors and quick service. All of those qualities you want in a meal.

OMG what a great little Greek restaurant. Had a high quality Gyro piled high with meat someone recommended this place tucked away in the Glenshaw area. The deserts are fantastic we had Galaktobouriko which was delicious and a hummus plate. Sometimes you find the best restaurants in out of the way places. They have a wonderful menu. Check it out

I've come to know Pamela's in the Strip as being a great and consistent breakfast spot before tackling the shopping for the day. Always busy and often a wait, it is definitely worth waiting for the usual 20 to 30 minutes. Known for their pancakes which are thin and almost crepe like, there are a number of other great offerings. From traditional and some not-so-traditional egg dishes and some nice lunch offerings. The service is fast and efficient and the servers always have outgoing personalities (they need to as there is such a high energy level in the place)! The hash browns are really good and the coffee always plentiful. This has become my family tradition when in town!
Please note, cash only but, the prices are reasonable and you get a great value!

Spider webs hanging from light fixtures! Overpriced. Obsequious waiter. Ordered a pasta dish described on menu as lightly tossed with olive oil. It was dripping with butter and oversalted. Mentioned that dish was not as described and waiter did not care

The Cheesecake Factory offers something for everyone featuring a wide variety of over 200 menu items prepared fresh to order each day, plus over 30 legendary varieties of the Finest Cheesecake.
We frequent this particular Cheesecake Factory because it is closest to our house. The food is above average, desserts are wonderful, but the wait is usually the downfall at this restaurant. It is extremely busy because of the foot traffic from the mall. The front attendants don't help much. They are more worried with their personal lives than getting you seated. If you have the time and patience, stop in.

This is a neighbourhood restaurant. Very little few minutes from home. The biggest chicken wings in town. excellent service and the place is beautiful with a lot of tv screens and a big fireplace outside, to enjoy a cooler dinner with a great fire roaring next to you.
