Glendive is a city in and the county seat of Dawson County, Montana, United States. Pretty humble little place with the absolute worst signage. If the hotel clerk did not recommend it, I would have never gone. Very simple, almost like an American Legion hall. Friendly place where everyone knew everyone else in the room. The Saturday night special was Prime Rib. 8 oz for $19, 14 oz for $25. Absolutely delicious. Dinner for my wife and I came to $45!
The red/yellow garish sign suggested it was more of a casino. Actually, the bar and slot machines were in another room.

My husband and I are traveling. Every morning between nine and noon we look for a coffee shop to try. Checking online, this spot had great reviews for not only coffee but scones. I'm not big on scones but nearly every review mentioned them. This shop is a little stand with drive-through customers at windows on both sides. There were a few cars going both ways and there was a considerable wait. The barista (owner?) is friendly and interested in the customers. We got two Americanos and two raspberry scones. She has blueberry also. She said they would be the best scones we've ever eaten. No exaggeration. They are indescribable. Also the drinks were great. We live in Washington, but we'll stop again. If you are in the area you should stop!

This is our favorite place in Glendive. Always great customer service and some of the best prices in town. My 3 year old always has to go for the milkshakes. Good variety of burgers, even a halibut fish sandwich, Polish sausage and saurkraut. Have not tried anything we don't like. Definitely a must try if passing through or staying a while.

Go to Monte Carlo Pizza if a nice lunch is what you're seeking. Upon the recommendation of a local business man, I was advised to request the "Cindy Salad." It's not on the menu. This place actually has customized orders for their regular customers. When the fellows behind the counter couldn't locate the recipe, one of them " knew who to call," then another saw the salad guru out the window and another went out the door (all during lunch hour) to obtain the Cindy Salad secrets. A few minutes later, the cook brings me out a salad twice the size of a normal salad with my specification for a balsamic vinaigrette dresser ( which was delicious and not from a bottle). I proceeded to finish the entire dish. Oh, and it was a most reasonably priced!
My advice is the same as the owner of the music store with a 38 ft T-Rex for public viewing..."Go to Monte Carlo Pizza."

We were traveling through Glendive for a family reunion and enjoyed the food so much on the way in that we ended up stopping at CC's on the way back out again! It's a good place to grab burgers, beer battered fries and a Reuben sandwich. Friendly wait staff. As others have stated, we also could have done without the flies, but enjoyed our stops nonetheless.

Li's Chinese is a wonderful little restaurant in Glendive, Montana. As vegans, we were concerned about finding a good restaurant for dinner. On every level, Li's met our needs and exceeded our expectations. We had an absolutely wonderful relaxing meal. The food was perfect and the service couldn't have been better. This isn't a fancy place, but the food is simply wonderful.

Wait for everything. Not busy, but we wait, then wait for server, order appetizer it came with our meal, wait on drink refills, messed up food order, completely forgot my daughter's cheeseburger. Disgusting alfredo. Original server completely disappeared, then second server, then third server. All disappeared!!!! There were only 3 tables waiting for service and food, all the other tables were getting checks and leaving as we can in to eat.

We found the listing for this place at our hotel and are glad we went there. We had pizza for dinner and we sat outside. It was pleasant and not crowded so we were served pretty quickly. The inside is on the dark side so we sat outside. The food was good and so was the service. This was in town and not far from our hotel. One more good memory from our 2016 summer trip out to Yellowstone! Thanks!

We stopped here on our way in to Montana. It was around 7 AM and about half the seating in the diner was turned up, so we were fortunate to get the last open booth. My wife ordered oatmeal and I had the country fried steak, which included hash browns, country gravy, two eggs, and a pancake. All tasted fine, but nothing stood out. Penny's is a chain, so even though it is a diner, it does not feature real home cooking.
