I would never have expected to review a grocery store, but this was an unexpected treasure!
The store has everything for tourist and locals. It is a full service grocery store in a small town!
My husband and I were heading to Jack London State Historic Park and wanted to grab a picnic lunch. We stopped at a near by market and found only junk food.
We were so excited to then see Glen Ellen Village Market & Deli.
The freshly made panini sandwiches and ready to go offerings made a luxury picnic :)

We recently stopped in for lunch and liked the menu though seemed a bit pricey. The stuffed poblano very good with extra $ for beans..
we had also the cochinito pibil tostadas being promoted also tasty but somewhat sparse. First time I can remember leaving a Mexican restaurant still hungry. They have wines on display at the register with no prices, before you have a glass make sure to question the price..
the food is good but as a first timer here it seemed like they have forgotten about generosity and good value..

Italian trattoria in the heart of the wine country. Owned and operated by Luca and Linda Citti. Fresh pastas, focaccia, soups, salads and dessert made on the premises fresh daily. Specializing in northern Italian cuisine from the region of Tuscany where Luca was born and raised. Family atmosphere, casual dining. Patio seating available as well as take out for a picnic lunch at a nearby winery. Recently featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives with Guy Fieri.
The food here is amazing! We shared a green salad, minestrone soup, gnocchi with bolognese and a tiramisu and creme brûlée. We really enjoyed everything! The soup was a little bland, we’ve had better elsewhere. The gnocchi salad and desserts were fantastic! It was the right amount to share a salad and entree with 2 desserts and came to $43 with tax!
Definitely stop here if you are in Sonoma county wine tasting. It’s a great place. You order at the counter then the wait staff brings your order and takes dessert and coffee orders at the table after your meal. Really cool concept and expedites the process when they are busy.

19030 Railroad St., Sonoma, is the soon-to-be open site for Harvey's Donut and Coffee shop but now available for special events. Family & Friends held a birthday party for me with brightly colored tables, a wine bar, lots of plants and flowers. Beautifully decorated and made to feel special and loved. Great snacks and a Mexican food buffet was catered and served outside. Nothing but praise for this upcoming and friendly spot. Have previously provided space for other birthdays, baby showers, wedding receptions. Plenty of parking and close to downtown Sonoma. Side offering are personalized Wine Country tours. ( Specialties are coffee, donuts, smoothies.)

A very impressive drive into the main parking area...A large variety of wine from their various vineyards (both red & white),which we had the opportunity to try...staff graciously allowed us to share [6 of us] from the 2 menus that day which allowed all of us to try a wide variety of wines...they have a wine club which provided discounted member pricing and they put on several wine club events each year ....

This place makes their own home made ice cream and they make their waffle cones too. Wow it was so good. They have butter brickle ice cream, which I don't see often. It was delicious.

Fresh, Inventive Mediterranean and Iberian Cuisine in the heart of the Sonoma Valley Wine Country.

Seafood and Portuguese Cuisine are our specialties. We offer a unique variety of fresh local and imported seafood specials daily including whole fish. The seafood selections on our menu are complimented by a variety of meat dishes ranging from the popular Pork Tenderloin stuffed with almonds, olives and figs to the, hard to find, Tripe Porto Style. Many of these dishes come steaming hot out of the wood-burning oven and fill the dining room with the exotic aromas of true Mediterranean cuisine. The menu reflects the commitment of Chef and Owner Manuel Azevedo to creating the unique culinary delights of his native Portugal and its neighbors. LaSalette Restaurant is proudly one of Zagat Surveys top rated restaurants in Sonoma. See our web site for the complete menu and a look inside our dining room, which features an open kitchen and decor that sends you back in time to old Lisbon.
My wife visited last night based on Trip Advisor recommendations. A crudite was provided with my wife like - I could have passed loaded with beets. Our appetizers were the sardines which were good, however the crab cakes were somewhat bland. My main a Brazilian plate was a disappointment. The sauce with the beef/pork was more like a normal BBQ sauce, rice was dry. Could not finish the plate. Maybe it was the night. Additionally felt rushed. Four waitresses walk in a circle between our tables witch was distracting and we continuously felt disrupted. The worst is having to go out of the building into a walk way shared with a bar to get to the washroom, Several intoxicated people hanging around was not what we thought we would find. Maybe it was just this night but I would not go back.

Amazing fresh foods cooked in a wood-fired oven.
Glen Ellen doesn’t have many options...so this was the place to be. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Tried the Brussels sprouts, fish, and tomato pie pizza. The homemade ice cream was great too! Definitely make a reservation!

Been a few times now and always a great experience with excellent food and wine and great service and a very pleasant atmosphere outside although can get a bit loud with some larger groups and individuals who like to hear their own voices. But highly recommended and we will continue to go back every time we're in Sonoma area.

Delicious lunch in Sonoma! The line was long-ish but moved pretty quickly and food came out VERY quickly after we sat. Two lovely patios for enjoying the sunshine. Food was tasty and appeared high quality. Prices are on the high side, but hey, it's Sonoma.
