This restaurant is a gem! Great food, fairly priced. Superb service. The ambience is like a country French inn. Off the beaten track but worth the drive.

If you are looking for a great burger and a place to stop after hiking or biking, this is an excellent rest stop. The burgers are excellent and they have many types of beers to choose from. They have items on the menu as well....MoreThe Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is indeed a great place to visit during all four seasons. Thank you for promoting us and our region. We look forward to seeing you again.

Serving a full menu of cafe specialties, Chef Chris features hearty sandwiches, savory BBQ, fresh salads, and plenty of shareables to feed a crowd. Oh, and our Stomp House serves people of all ages with 24 varieties of wine and soda, so bring the entire crew. Located in the heart of the 'Cherry Capital of the World', this is where Cherry Republic got its humble beginning, just a couple blocks from Lake Michigan in beautiful Glen Arbor. Come visit!
If you are at the cafe, don't neglect to stop and shop next door or sample the wine across the garden. The cafe is friendly, relaxed. Excellent Cherry flavors of ice cream. Tonight I had the special: bacon wrapped meatloaf with mashed potatoes. Good comfort food for a reasonable price. Excellent wait staff. A gentleman came in for a pie to go. It looked absolutely delicious.

Our order - 1 breakfast sandwich, 1 tea with milk and sugar, 1 decaf latte.
On the positive side:
They have a large selection of tea.
There is an area around back, where you can sit with pets.
Negative side:
There wasn't any communication between the person taking the order and the crew putting the order together.
Our breakfast sandwich was forgotten, until I asked for it.
I requested milk in the tea, when I ordered. I had to ask again, when it was given to me. (The self-service stand only has cream.)
The gentleman that gave me our tea, had dirty nails.
My coffee was cold.

This was possibly the best breakfast of our trip. We stopped here and were pleasantly surprised at this quaint little bakery. We had a cinnamon role and a pecan roll, plus great coffee. I returned for a 2nd pecan roll and probably would have had a 3rd if my wife was not in control. We ordered 2 cookies to go and for sure will return here next year.

Went with a group of six people and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner experience. Made reservations weeks in advance and glad we did. Started with the asparagus wrapped with prosciutto and it was excellent. Ordered the house specilalty Veal saltimbuca and it was fantastic! I would highly recommend going here!

Every summer we drive 45 minutes to eat at Blu at least twice. The location is beautiful, views of the Manitou Islands and Lake Michigan coast line. The food is delicious, lots of local ingredients, beautiful presentation. And the staff is very professional, also wonderful wine list.

A 100 year old restored hotel overlooking Sleeping Bear Dunes Nation Lakeshore and Little Glen Lake. Food is all home-made and servings are generous. Best place around for quality, service and atmosphere.
This 107 y/o classic structure could provide a warm, wonderful B&B experience. It could, but it didn't. My wife's meat had more fat than flesh and my entree was so undercooked, it needed to be sent back to make it edible. The salad bar was pathetic and had limited fresh veggie items. It was more like Grandma's idea of a salad bar. The desserts were thawed products from a commercial food vendor. Only a half glass of water was served, while the one server was busy bussing dirty tables. (She simply did not have time to serve us.) Traditionally, this establishment offers champagne as part of brunch. Unfortunately, some people were provided champagne today while we were not. We heard it offered to other people, but we were never offered the champagne. Frankly, however, we did not ask because we just wanted to get out of this place. I went in thinking that this would be a "cheat day" on the diet. However, there was nothing worth my cheating at this disappointing destination.

Upon walking in we were greeted by one of the most interesting people around. He was so happy to be there and good at what he did. CASH only and we were told right away. The food you should make sure that you eat sitting up and not slouching or you will be stuck that way. It is a good stick to your bones kind of food. Burgers are great the tator tots while nothing fancy also hits the stop. A quaint location for a burger.

A Seasonal restaurant (May - October) featuring fresh and locally raised meats, fish and produce, Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily through Labor Day. Fall hours may vary, please call ahead.
This is a small family restaurant with about a dozen tables and a diverse menu, certainly vegetarian friendly. Reasonable service. My wife and I had chili. I enjoyed the black bean vegetarian and she had the white bean with chicken. Both were quite nice with a family style salad with fresh local ingredients and some nice cracked wheat homemade bread. We would certainly go back, perhaps trying another dish next time.
