Serving traditional Southern breakfast and lunch, from 5:30AM to 2:30PM, Monday thru Saturday. Come on by, bring the family and enjoy some great Southern cooking!
I rarely wait over 15 minutes for a restaurant, I just don't care to do it. Angie's, however, is worth the wait!!! The food is excellent, home cookin'! The staff is amazing, I believe our servers name was Jess and she was outstanding! This is a rare find folks.

Right in the heart of downtown Raleigh, Bida Manda is a thoughtful and sharp gathering place celebrating the diverse food and culture of Laos. Bida Manda is one of the very first Laotian restaurants in the US. Sanskrit for father and mother, we name the restaurant Bida Manda as our way of honoring our parents in Laos who taught us everything we know about food, hospitality, and the power it has in bringing people together. Our parents' recipes are the inspiration for our menu. Every dish on our menu is exactly what we grew up eating. They are the kind of dishes you might find on the street corners of Luang Prabang and at a Laotian home. Come in and go away with us on sensational culinary journey to Laos. ------ Whether it is a birthday dinner for 10 guests or a corporate event for 100+, we will work with you to craft your memorable dining experience. Please contact Vansana Nolintha at [email protected] for more information.
The ambiance is amazing, we walked by one day and said we have to try this place out. So we went, didn't have a reservation so we ate at the bar. We just admired how the inside was setup, very elegant and beautiful. My family ordered the Crispy Pork Belly Soup, which they said was an authentic Laotian dish but we also got the Thai Pad & Beef Basil Stir Fry, the latter two were both good and had good flavor but I've just had it better at a Thai restaurant for less cost. The crispy pork belly soup was unbelievable, I will get this every time I come from now on. It's so unique, flavorful and filling. For an appetizer we got the summer rolls which were really good. For dessert, we ordered the Trio Plate (apricot-tamarind cobbler, semi-sweet chocolate creme brulee, and coconut custard crisp), this was good also, we'll def come back but I know what I'll be ordering already.

I love Aversboro Coffee! The coffee is great and the service is awesome! They have great flavors of coffee plus they offer iced, frozen or hot for all of their coffees. My favorite are their frozen coffees....much better than any frappuccino!

Whenever I have a downtown appointment, I make an effort to stroll over to Lucettegrace just to grab a couple macaroons and a cup of coffee. Of course everything in the glass case looks fabulous, but I'm just stuck on the tender chewy wonder of their macaroons - I'm partial to Salted Caramel and especially the Apple Cinnamon. They are the real deal, and are always spot on in texture and flavor intensity.

Had a nice Sunday lunch including the breakfast and chicken parmesan. Both meals were well prepared and delicious. The great experience ended with a $10 overcharge on the chicken parmesan. The menu said the meal was $9.95 and we were charged $19.95. Not so great any more. My husband does not like confrontation so he paid the additional $10 (much to my protest).

Found this great little spot when meeting a friend for dinner. It is a casual, comfortable atmosphere and food is excellent. The ingredients are fresh and waitstaff is pleasant, helpful and personal. The burgers are juicy and thick with hand cut fries...very filling. Always great to find a place that doesn't pour them out of bag from freezer! Have also had the Guacamole small plate, brown rice with veggies and greens and Thai peanut bowl. All were delicious. The bowls are a little skimpy on the veggies but flavor is great and price is inexpensive. We also were beside some folks that said they come almost every weekend and never have been disappointed. I can see why! Another perk is the location which is right off I40. Take a break if you are traveling by and try Simple Twist.

But never stopped here until tonight, when Charlotte and one of her co workers decided on this place for a couples night out. Previously called Characters this place was featured on Spike TV's Bar Rescue in the past. Place had a great variety on it's menu phenomenal choices in craft beers and the topper moonshine cocktails and mixed drinks. Themed as a bootleg and prohibition joint. We started with an appetizer of fried dill pickle chips which were very good. Moved on to burgers for the guys and one of the ladies got a chicken quesadilla and the other a smothered chicken dinner. everyone enjoyed their meal. The service was superb. It wasn't very busy though on this Thursday night. My one suggestion get some lighting in the parking lots.! It will make you look open and inviting it's very dark in the side lot!

This Monday is senior appreciation day at our Chick-fil-a. We had sandwiches and I ordered the tortilla soup. It was very hearty and tasty,. I wish they had it on the menu year round. Both sandwiches were of their usual quality. Fries could have been cooked a little longer(personal preference to be extra crispy).

I had been asking my husband to has to take me to Big Ed's City Market for some time now. A friend had posted from there last week and I had decided enough was enough and set a date. We had a great time, wonderful food, certainly worth the reputation. I had the best rib-eye steak, farm fresh eggs, a fluffy tender biscuit and homemade banana pudding. My husband had pork tenderloin, eggs, grits and of course banana pudding, too. Our waitress was prompt, friendly and attentive.
The manager there is Sam Hobgood and is definitely in his element here. He had a look of pure joy as he greeted guests. For those who do not know, Big Ed's is an institution... anybody that's anybody who've come to Raleigh has eaten here.
