Gansevoort is a hamlet in the town of Northumberland in Saratoga County, New York, United States. The hamlet of Gansevoort draws its name from Peter Gansevoort, a hero in the Siege of Fort Stanwix (Fort Schuyler) which contributed to the downfall of Burgoyne's army at the Battle of Saratoga during the Revolutionary War.

Chez Pierre continues the tradition of being family and chef owned for the past 52 years. Serving the Tri county area with Traditional French and American Food. Open year round for dinner and seven days a week during Saratoga racing season. Located a short drive from the Saratoga Springs and the Lake George-Glens Falls Area.
We've had so many wonderful, celebratory meals at Chez Pierre. But this last visit was for Saratoga
Springs' Chowderfest. It was our last stop of at least 6 restaurants- Chex Pierre not only won our vote for best Chowder of the day but we received the gracious full service one would expect if we were there for a regular meal. Always a fine dining experience!

This establishment is very convenient for many being right off the Northway(87) at exit 17N. They are always coming out with new breakfast sandwiches coming out and most are very good, especially with there great coffee.

We were in Saratoga Springs visiting family and decided to take our uncle to the Wishing Well to celebrate his birthday. We were not disappointed.
Situated on a country road well out of town, the curb appeal is the first thing that grabs you! Built in 1936, this was obviously someone's home in its previous incarnation. Each of the four dining rooms feature fieldstone fireplaces, as does the bar area, where many of the locals choose to dine. Because we were there in August, the fireplaces weren't lit, but they still contributed to the charm of this place.
As soon as we sat down, we were brought a plate of sliced heirloom tomatoes and a bread basket of fresh baked ciabatta and little corn sticks. The tomatoes tasted like they had just been picked! As a starter, each of us ordered the French Onion Soup, which was absolutely delicious with just the right amount of cheese on top of the rich soup. We all ordered something different for dinner, but my uncle was quite happy they had lamb on the menu, which he said was to die for! My aunt and I ordered the Filet, which was perfectly prepared, and my husband had the duck with blackberry glaze. All of the meals come with locally grown corn on the cob, which was freshly picked and so sweet it was almost like having dessert!
In honor of my Uncle's birthday, the server brought out a chocolate lava cake for all of us to share. He was delighted that the server even joined in to sing Happy Birthday.
My family has lived in Saratoga for their entire lives, and they had forgotten about this obscure little gem of a restaurant. After we left, they thanked me for making the reservation and declared they'd be coming back for more special occasions.
I highly recommend the Wishing Well if you're in town just visiting or to attend the horse races during track season. You will be very happy you did!

Fort Edward is a wonderfully quaint little town that is loaded with history-Roger's Island. There is a wonderful restaurant on the main street that is perfect for a nice lunch, dinner or just drinks. Service is excellent. Food is very good. Worth the trip.

This restaurant never disappoints. The host and owner, Dave, is the kindest, friendliest, person. His wait staff is the best. The chef, co-owner and Dave's brother, Christian, serves excellent, fresh, well prepared food that is always hot and delicious. Onion soup has such a depth of flavor and is served piping. Fried oysters have a very delicate batter and are accompanied with a red cabbage, raisin salad. The yummy mussels were served last evening in a chunky tomato basil sauce, and the sauce alone was delectable. Their haddock is very tender and a favorite. We always enjoy their hanger steak with the brandy peppercorn sauce. Oh so good. To top it all off, their double chocolate mousse is to die for. We look forward to our next meal at this great spot.

A casual family friendly restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Specializing in quality comfort foods, served by the friendliest wait staff in the area. A local favorite for over 25 years!
A restaurant that has been in this plaza for years and has gone through a few names /owners, but has been The Peppermill for some time now and is a great beginning to your day. Breakfast is my favorite. you wont leave hungry and prices are reasonable when you are bringing family or friends. The staff is very friendly and it is just a nice relaxed atmosphere.!! please make sure you try it.

Went with my daughter & son-in-law for lunch before visiting a museum in Glens Falls. This is a very popular spot, as the tables filled up quickly. My daughter & I started with hard cider-delish! & my son-in-law had pale ale. I ordered the soup du jour, which was a clam chowder--very creamy & delicious! My entree was the Turkey club wrap--very good & fresh. My daughter ordered the grilled chicken salad & her husband ordered the spicy buffalo chicken breast sandwich. Everything was very tasty & the portions ample. Our server was very friendly & efficient! I definitely recommend this place-it's great for all generations to dine.

I decided to get some hot dogs and french fries today, it was raining and they had only 1 other customer. I also got french fries, the hot dogs were very good, however the fries were nearly raw, they must have been put in the cooking oil for less than 2 minutes, I have never encountered anyone who would serve such under cooked fries, these were by far the worst tasting french fries I have ever tasted.
