Our first time here and will return when in the area. Our waiter "Batman" was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The fried shrimp and oysters were tasty. The shrimp combo plate was excellent. The cornbread was enjoyed by all. One had the blackened ribeye with oysters and couldn't finish it - too much food. Went back on Sunday to find they're not open Sundays, our loss.

I had been going here for 15 years, always been good. The carne guisada tacos were the best I've ever had. The last time I went I opened up my taco to put the chile` in there & there was twigs and leaves...like they accidentally scraped off the floor and just put it in. I have no idea how tree particles would get in my taco but I was so upset that I vowed to never come here again. I miss it though. Still, I'm scared to eat there now.

Had Fish Po Boy for lunch, very thin piece of dry breaded fish on a cheap roll with some iceberg lettuce, home fries weren't very good and weren't fresh. Others got shrimp entrees that came with a very small portion of shrimp and mediocre sides. Nothing seemed fresh or homemade, I definitely would not go back or recommend.
Menus and decor are dated and uninspired, just like the food.

We have eaten here several times and not disappointed. Really great seafood dishes and amazing burgers. Salads are very fresh and yummy. One the way to Surfside Beach so decor is beach inspired. Very clean, very attentive staff, reasonably priced and you get your monies worth.

We have eaten at AR's for several years. Usually a breakfast visit. My family loves their breakfast tacos. Recently a few friends and I had lunch there. The food is always good and very affordable. Junior and Justin are two of the staff that we enjoy visiting with. Recently they completely renovated their restaurant. It looks really nice. There is such a large clientele it may be hard to have a large group during their regular business hours. They also have a heavy load of take out orders during their regular business hours. That just tells me that they have great food. They do need more parking...again that says they have good food.

arrive in town wanting grouper it was large catfish fillet. Returned to give second chance ordered red snapper was served catfish fillet. Owner & cook wanted to fuss with me, I have never seen black under belly on red snapper. People behind me ordered fried whole catfish & they were so large they were cooked poorly. They could not eat them. When you fry whole catfish you use smaller fish. Every eating establishment here serves seafood & crawfish. This establishment is a Chinese restaurant. Never again. They also charge extra for everything.

Cozy sit down restaurant offering a variety of bbq meats and homemade sides and desserts.
This is some of the best bbq that I have ever tasted and I've had plenty. We spent a small fortune because we had to taste everything! It was delicious. The meats were wonderful and the sides were great! They have homemade desserts as well. They also cater. The owner and staff were very friendly and appreciative. Worth making a trip to Freeport just to eat here!

We were driving around Freeport on Sunday, trying to find something to do or that was open. Not much luck there. We ran across Maria's just driving and decided to stop for lunch. Man what a great move. I had a bowl of Pozole (red) that was perfect, had to be heaven sent! Enchiladas were excellent with just the right amount of spicyness. The family next to us was having menudo and it looked and smelled wonderful. They said they always come here for menudo on Sunday, I can see way. They do have beer and a bar by the way also. Very well priced.

I've used Rudy Roo's Seafood many times. I call or visit the store and tell them how much shrimp I want. They clean and butterfly the shrimp and I pick them up. They don't charge for the prep of the shrimp but I always leave a tip. I take the shrimp home and fry them up and eat too much. The taste is great.

Was in the area to fix a car and decided to head down towards the beach and I found this place. You grab your tray and silverware and order from at least four seafood dishes, including gumbo, and some Mexican and then find a seat. Good choice of fish for the day, along with a decent price. If I'm in the area, I'll drop in again!
