We stopped in for some breakfast sandwiches, which were delicious, and were pleasantly surprised by this corner coffee shop. Big menu, good service, comfortable chairs, even a couple of fireplaces! The menu has dairy free options and they also serve Blue Bell Ice Cream. :-)

We stopped here after going to see the waterfalls at Liver River Canyon Park. Food is good, I order the 12 oz Rib Eye, broccolli and green beans. I didnt like the green beans cause they had pork in with them, however many ppl do like them that way. One of my friends got a Cobb Salad which he said was very good. Everyone else got steaks, liked them a lot. My ice tea was good.

Good selection at fair prices. The product is fresh made daily and they do a good job. Not Krispy Kreme but that is the draw for the person that just wants a good snack just about anytime of the day.

We had the Megadog (footloose hotdogs with chilli and cheese) and cheeseburger with fries. Megadog was great but the cheeseburger was drowned in ketchup. My wife ordered it without tomato but didn't know they put ketchup on it. They did put mustard on it but made up for it with ketchup. There was mustard and ketchup on the tables? She tried to wipe the ketchup off of it and added mustard but she said she could still taste the ketchup. The blizzard was great of course. Next time we will know to ask for no ketchup.

We ate at this restaurant yesterday while traveling through Ft. Payne! What a wonderful bistro style cafe with a unique twist to many of the dishes in a historical location. As some others have said, this place is pretty small and there is only one cook and two waitresses, so don't be in a hurry! That being said, we probably had our food within 30 minutes or so and we needed a break anyway, so it wasn't a problem. We were amazed at the entire experience as our son has a very similar restaurant in our home town of Scottsville, Kentucky. It was like we were at home! From the checked food liners to our sandwiches being served in a pie plate, it was a fun experience. The food was excellent, and since it was the middle of the afternoon, we ended up talking to the chef, sharing stories about life in a kitchen! We were absolutely impressed all around with this place and wish them the best. Hope the staff gets to visit us at The Farmacy in Scottsville, Kentucky! They'll be amazed how similar these two restaurants are!

Stopped there with friends.
Wife had brisket, Cole slaw and fried potatoes.
I had pork plate, beans and fries. Mine was very good, fries and pork were very flavorful and when I added the bold sauce made it even better.
Altogether a good meal but I could not give an excellent rating because the brisket was about half fat.
Good food, great service and reasonable prices.

We stopped here on the way to Little River Falls. The building is painted w/ spots like a cow + the outside furniture is painted in bright- cheerful colors. The service was great, w/ no waiting time. The ice cream was served in generous scoops. Very happy w/ our visit to this ice cream shop!

Stopped here while traveling because we could all agree on it and needed a break from driving. We had a variety of dishes. Food was typical home style cooking. You know what to expect whenever you stop at CB. Nothing exceptional, but overall good and you can stretch your legs in the store.

Well,my family are here Saturday and everything was great. The waitress was nice and we left her a tip. But today my husband wanted to take means our four kids(21,17,15&33) to eat for the 4th. The food was excellent, but what really ruined it,was the older Oriental woman who waited on us. She kept pointing at the heck try, before we were all finished eating and wanted my husband to pay now. ( We don't,because once we did and sherefused to give him his change and demanded a dollar from everyone at our table and even had the game to pay my husband on his head!)
Today she came over twice and kept patting me on my shoulder and kept asking for a tip. Twice she said that we had six people,so six dollars tip!
I always tip waitresses and waitors, but do not like tips demanded of me and I do not like people touching me, that aren't my friends or family.
I think the restaurant would be so much better if they made herstopdemandingtips. I did leaves tip,but my husband was angry and said that when people from and tips,he doesn't leave them uno centavo!

We are a quaint, locally owned business. We provide dine-in, take out, delivery (for limited area) and catering service. Come in as a customer, but leave as a friend.
We were driving home from the Smokies and wanted to stop somewhere for lunch and found this place when we searched online. This restaurant is in downtown Fort Payne, 2-3 miles from the interstate, but we discovered that it was well worth the short detour. It was a Sunday and the waitress told us that they were serving a "meat and three" type dinner. My wife and I ordered from the chalkboard list of menu items, all of which could be classified as Southern "comfort food", and we were pleased with our food, which came with a drink, a side salad and small dessert. The atmosphere and the service were unexceptional, but good enough and the cost of our food ($12 each) was reasonable. If we come to Fort Payne again, we will certainly consider a return visit to Fontana's.
