We drove almost 70 miles with great anticipation of what we saw on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. They must've made 'em different for Guy and the cameras. What a huge disappointment. The people were friendly enough. the place was clean, but the Kraut-Burgers were not too good. I have a friend in Greeley, CO who makes home-made kraut-burgers that are far superior and absolutely delicious. There was more bread than anything else. There were also more fillers with cabbage and onion than ground beef. I'm sure Clara Peller (from the 80's commercials) would be screaming "Where's The Beef?" We won't be making that drive to Brighton again. So very disappointed.

This is a small Italian and bar right on Fort Lupton's Main Street. Amazing to find such great food in such a small town!
I never think about going to Ft. Lupton for restaurants, but one of my clients recommended this place. Although it was quite busy with a little with bit of a wait, it was definitely well worth it. The garlic knots were amazing and both of main dishes we had were very good. Will definitely be going back

This place has been around for many years. The donuts have always been good, but I always get the donut holes which is my favorite. They have also added ice cream to serve. Looks like a hole in the wall place, but what waits inside is a must. A locals kind of place.

Great location in the tri-city area between Frederick, Dacono & Firestone. Always an awesome selection of local microbrews on tap. Service is good and fairly fast. Prices have gone up a bit, but portions are big, so that's warranted. This is our go-to place when family & friends come to visit from out of state. Nobody leaves disappointed!

I don't know about this other review, but we had the opposite experience. The ladies were super friendly, they even made my husband special gluten free pancakes. Coffee was great, out of a real espresso machine. I was very pleasantly surprised the coffee was good!
Looking forward to gong back!

We've been going to Brighton's La Estrellita for years and enjoy the drive knowing we'll get some good Mexican fare. They now offer very good monthly specials and well as the evolving regular items. Medium spice is very reasonable, but hot spice can occasionally cause tears in my eyes. I like the jalapeno cream enchilada and my husband likes the pork ribs when they are available. These aren't your typical Mexican-American fare, but family recipes. There is usually plenty of parking a block west of the place. Get there early (before 5) or late on the weekends or you may have to wait a bit for a table.

Have you ever walked into a restaurant and immediatly regretted your decision??? You'll get that feeling at the House of Smoke, but I assure you, once you eat one of their sandwiches you'll overlook the decor and cleanliness. When food that good gets put in front of you, you almost don't care where it came from... ALMOST... I'd give the place 10 out of 10 stars if it didn't give me the heebee geebees when I walked in. Some de-cluttering and a bucket of soap would go far - but whatever you do, don't change the food!

Eaten here several times on early morning trips to Denver. Great location just off the Greeley Highway in Fort Lupton. Breakfast or lunch has always been excellent, with good size portions and served hot and tasty. But the service has either been average or terrible. Even when the place has not been crowded, we have had to wave to get coffee/drink refilled. On one occasion after waiting 15 minutes we walked up to cashier to pay and only then did we get our check instead of it brought to the table. Most times the staff seems more interested in chatting with the cooks than seeing what their tables are doing.

Stopped in here after a high school function in Frederick. Chose this restaurant over the Thai option because of the number of 5* reviews on here. We were very disappointed. There were 3 ladies/servers in the restaurant. The 2 that seemed to help us the most were very, very rude. Acted like it was a chore to listen to our order. Spoke very curtly and blunt. One had a very thick accent and we had to ask her to repeat herself a few times and that seemed to make things worse. We never got the chips and salsa refill we asked for. It seemed like if you weren't a local, you were given the cold shoulder. I can only imagine that the great reviews are from regulars.
The food was so-so. Green Chile was completely mild (maybe they had hotter, we just were not offered any choices). Salsa was very watery, but had good flavor. Sopapillas were small, but good. (don't come with meal)
We definitely will not be back if we are in the area. Very disappointed.

Four of us stopped for dinner, at this restaurant for the first time. We were surprised at the top quality food and excellent service. They serve traditional Mexican food but the food was absolutely fresh and tasty. Service was great and the place sparkled. The folks believe in clean fresh food and the place shows it. Prices were quite reasonable.
