I think this place just opened. The food was great, it is the "most classy" place for "miles around", the decor is interesting, and the service was above average. The smoked pork chop was the best any of our group had ever eaten. The steak was average. Full bar with reasonable prices (a really good Long Island Iced Tea was $5.25). This was an unexpected gem in a small Iowa town not known for its food.
Passing through town, someone recommended Mineral City Mill & Grill was close by my hotel. Why not?
The service was quick, the beer on tap was good, and the food was fairly non-descript. I would rate it as average and pretty much on par with other similarly-situated and priced restaurants. Nothing stupendous..........but tolerable.

Going to Tropical Smoothie is a treat for my family. My daughter loves the simple Jetty Punch (strawberries & banana), while my husband goes for the Peaches & Silk (peaches, strawberries & banana). My favorite is the Acai Berry Boost (acai, pomegranate, banana, blueberries & strawberries)... go big or go home, right?
They are 24-oz smoothies so - good size! - and you can add supplements if you want (vitamins, energizers, probiotics, proteins).
They have sandwiches, wraps, salads and soft tacos - all very healthy (no deep fat fryer here!). The kids menu has healthy choices as well, plus my daughter's standby - a cheese quesadilla. I had a King Caesar chicken wrap, that was pretty tasty.

You can smell the wonderful aroma of her goodies as you walk into her store. This is what heaven smells like! Your mouth will water in anticipation of tasting any of her creations. Simply the best cakes and cookies in the world!

As one who prefers to support local business, this is a great little coffee shop. I love their quiche! The coffee and tea are a wide selection. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Free wi-fi, papers to read, open mic nights in the summer... I really like it here.
Do try the Chi and anything on the breakfast list.

Tea Thyme is so lovely. It has different rooms filled with Christmas gifts and jewelry. Also purses, clothes, etc. The tea room has each table decorated for Christmas and is lovely. The food was delicious and it was hard to choose an entree because everything is so good. My daughter took me there to surprise me and treat me to a fine meal. There are several desserts also.

Tuesdays in the summer are my favorite day of the week because it's 2 coneys, fry, and a drink for $5! So good! Georges also has great ice cream and their customer service is outstanding!

We had a deluxe taco salad and a burrito dinner. We enjoyed the food and consider this an excellent alternative to Americanized Mexican food. The dinner comes with chips, and a salsa bar is available. We liked the real silverware but not the styrofoam dishes. Also, this place was very busy during a Sunday noon; that says something about the quality of this restaurant.

...have the pork tenderloin! We were traveling across the state on the way to a Christmas visit in IL. Lunch time found us in Fort Dodge, so we consulted TripAdvisor, always looking for a non-chain offering. This was perfect! The pork tenderloin was delicious and it overflowed the fluffy homemade bun. Would definitely return another time.

One of my friends always requests Nettie's for lunch. But I prefer their breakfast - though, they do have daily lunch specials that are hard to beat. Their ice cream portions are insane. I always order a small because anything other than a small is HUGE! A large shake won't fit into a normal cup holder in a car. And the prices are so cheap for the ice cream size!!

Chelsea is great with people and the service is with a smile and laugh. Best place in the city to watch a game. Sit at the bar and see three games at the same timeSo good to have you join us for lunch and enjoy being able to watch various sports on all our TVs. Chelsea is a joy to have as an employee and for our guests. Thanks for the 4 Star Review.
