For 15 years I have been hearing GREAT things about fireside food and shows- this was NOT at all my experience. Food was so- so and show was so-so. But really was troublesome was the not so nice waitress and barely acceptable service. The waitress was short, unfriendly and even borderline yelling at my aunt that the meal includes salad and she HAD to take it even though she didn't want. The soup and salad was DELICIOUS, the chicken was dry and vegetables not flavored. We saw other tables have staff sing happy birthday- when we asked to have a candles to sing for my dad ( not that the waitress bothered to ask if we were there for any occasion) she brought the cake out and ran. So- i will never return, i grew up in NY and never had service this bad, definitely not the wisconsin norm, what a bummer.

Frostie Freeze is insanely popular in Fort atkinson. During summer evenings, it's not uncommon to see cars lined up down the side of the road to get in. While I do like the soft serve here, I am not sure it warrants this sort of frenzy.
They feature three flavors of soft serve, with a variety of toppings/mix-ins. I have never had a bad dessert here, but it's nothing exceptionally unique, either. In addition to cones, shakes, and malts, they have a variety of other ice-cream parlor treats, like floats, banana splits, ice cream sodas, sno-cone-esque items, etc. Again, tehy are just fine, and if you have the chance to get something, without waiting for a half hour in line, go for it! If it's that busy, though, I'd recommend waiting.
They don't accept credit cards, so bring cash!

Paddy's is one of my favorite places for lunch! Great selection of food, daily specials including some Irish favorites! Great place to visit with friends or to meet for business. Service is dependable and always friendly! Feel like a beer they have that here too!

Very friendly staff, greeted promptly and courteously. The restaurant is in a historic building with tall ceilings, very nicely decorated, soothing colors. The food was very good, especially for a smaller town, upscale. I had a very simple pasta dish with olives, artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, very flavorful. My husband had the balsamic braised pork shank which was absolutely delicious, fell off the bone, melted in your mouth-over a bed of spinach and polenta....very pleasant. Had a very nice Italian Syrah to top of the meal.

Thank you so much for the wonderful meal and service! The prime rib special was cooked just right! You were always my mom's favorite social place to dine and at 87 she was so pleased tiki return! Again, thank you!

The building is very interesting with old bricks and heavy timbers. The view is lovely overlooking the river. The menu was varied with many delicious offerings. Great place to take out-of-town guests for a taste of Wisconsin.

Doesn't get more Wisconsin real than this. Basic, good value, and very real. An authentic American diner for breakfasts - the silent chef putting on a masterclass in multitasking and the surly waitress with the heart of gold - together putting on some outstanding breakfasts. The 'large' pancake is bigger than a human head and is fantastic. Make the effort to drop in - you won't regret it.

Our favorite coffee shop for any coffee drink. Also outstanding choice of breakfast muffins, coffee cakes and bagels. Wonderful lunches with thick homemade bread and different soup every day. Cookies, pound cake and other desserts to choose from. Also a choice of teas. The most friendly people in town. Cozy atmosphere. A must try.

Kitcho's isn't a fun Japanese restaurant in Fort Atkinson. The decor is unassuming but glorious in its own unique manner. More importantly, we go there for the food. We always get the all you can eat sushi. It's not a revelation about food, but it is well executed fresh fish (and other items) that keeps us coming back. After our initial visit, the owner/waitress remembered us and even recalled our drink order without prompting. That kind of personal customer service just adds to the ambience. Just love the place!

This cafe serves fabulous soups, salads, and grilled sandwiches (the Tomato Reuben was quite a treat). The place definitely has a slight hippie flavor to it - if that's going to bother you, try a McDonald's instead. The back screened room was wonderful on a late spring day - light breezes and goldfinches at the feeder.
