Located in Corona section of Queens it’s a bit off the beaten path but the restaurant is worth the trip. Make reservations well in advance the place is always packed. The food is outstanding. Healthy portions are provided. The service is old school and professional. Nice wine list.

We were well aware of this place even before arriving in the neighborhood. We went around 11 AM on a Monday for an early light/late breakfast. Was not too busy and we were seated right away (although things picked up in the restaurant later on).
Of course we got the showcase soup dumplings, but we also got scallion pancakes and vegetable dumplings. The soup dumplings were the "soupiest" either of us have had, certainly at least in North America. The vegetable dumplings were good in their own right, also steamed, but it made us feel a little less guilty by letting us eat greens. The scallion pancake were fine.
Be sure to have cash, and use the various sauces and vinegar to jazz up your dumplings.

Uncle Peter's is a neighborhood restaurant located in Jackson Heights, Queens offering an eclectic menu with influences from Italy, Spain & France. Our philosophy is to serve quality food using fresh ingredients in a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
I've been here twice now, once for new years and once with my parents for a special dinner. Both times the food was outstanding and the service was quick and friendly. Definitely not the cheapest restaurant in JH but the food is worth it, especially if you're in the mood for fine dining but don't feel like heading into Manhattan (or paying Manhattan prices).
I got the black linguini with seafood the first time there and the braised beef with risotto the second time. Both were so good and the portions were large enough for me to take home a second meal. This place is a high end gem on the very diverse Northern Blvd.

Come to Magna and discover Flushing's Hidden Gem! A true taste of Italy is tucked away just around the corner from Northern Blvd and 35 Avenue, adjacent to the Marco Hotel & Suites. Open for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner daily. Perfect for business or pleasure. At Magna, you will enjoy a variety of Italian dishes and a fine wine selection. Let Magna impress your taste buds. Benvenuti a tutti e buon appetito! Great location, just a few minutes to LaGuardia Airport,CitiField, and the US Open.
I dined here because I stayed at the Marco LGA hotel where this restaurant is located and I didn't have to venture out for dinner. Unfortunately, I arrived the previous day after a very long flight (30hrs) crossing 12 time zones, so did not have the appetite to enjoy more of the menu selections.
I had the pasta with Pesto sauce and shrimp and it was tasty. The portion was quite large so I had no room for dessert. Wish they would come up with a multi-course set meal, like in Italy, with much smaller portions so that diners can sample different items.
Will dine here again when I stay at the Marco LGA Hotel to sample more of the food.

Il Triangolo Ristorante specializes in traditional fine Italian dinning, our bread, desserts and pastas are made fresh on premises. Our restaurant policies for your fine dinning experience. This is also an adult friendly restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights (13 yrs and older). ALL AGES on Tuesday thru Thursday and Sundays.
Last week was my first trip to Il Triangolo. A friend and I were attending a performance at the Queens Theatre and decided to try out the restaurant having been told by friends about the great food. We arrived, on a Thursday, at 5:30pm. The restaurant had (1) table being served. The host asked if we had a reservation, I said no, thinking that a reservation, early on a Thursday evening, would not be necessary. Received a very nasty look and said to wait, he would look if they had a spot. We should have left at that moment. As we approached our table for (2) I took my phone out of my pocket as we were instructed that no coats are permitted on the back of the chairs....I guess pocket books are fine, however, a coat is a great dining offense. I took my phone out, as I did not know where our coats were going, I was immediately told to take the phone off the table....cell phones were not permitted on the table and IF I wanted to make or answer a call I would have to go into the bathroom or outside. Had he said, I am sorry, we have a no cell phone policy, so if you could please put the phone in your bag it would be greatly appreciated. Nope, in the most obnoxious tone I was lectured on cell phone policy. Believe it or not, I actually am a civilized person and realize that in a small restaurant I would never make a call or IF I was called I would step outside (there are those of us with children and elderly parents and need to have a cell phone close by and if we place them on silent then they need to be placed close by - like on a table so IF we do receive a call we will know It is far more annoying, in a small space, to have a cell phone ringing and trying to fish it out of a handbag because you can't get it from your coat pocket because your coat is banned. I don't need an obnoxious waiter to tell me what I can and can not do. I wonder if he ever heard of CUSTOMER SERVICE. A restaurant is certainly entitled to establishing rules, HOWEVER, lecturing a paying customer, is beyond rude. In addition to this we told him we had to be out of the restaurant by 6:45pm to get to the theatre. At the time there was (1) table and they were eating, The rest of the restaurant was EMPTY. His response: he can't promise anything but would see what he could do. Seriously????? Two entree's could not be cooked, served and eaten within 1 hour and 15 minutes?? His response should have been: "Absolutely, I will make sure you are at your play by 7pm." At that point the food could have been excellent but given his lecture it completely ruined both of our dining experience. Lastly, if you do decide to dine at Il Triangolo remember to ask the pricing of the specials. Unfortunately I did not ask and I had the Risotto with truffles. It was good however, and I realize truffles are expensive, but $45 for pasta is insane. My suggestion for the waitstaff/owners of Il Triangolo would be to take some customer service classes and learn how to speak with paying customer, not lecture them. I will not be back.

Excellent Chinese cooking in queens not you average Chinese restaurant this place is traditional Chinese Restaurant in the heart of busy flushing queens. On most nights there a line to get in especially weekends but believe me the wait is worth it for the soup Dumplings which is a must if your visiting Joe's for the first time and never experienced them it's really a must. There Dumplings are delicious actually mouth watering good. I would also recommend the plum chicken and Chinese salad. You really cant go wrong at this place the food is amazing. The only complaint is that the tables are so tightly together and the place gets very noisy but I highly recommend Joe's as a 5 stars

I've been coming here for several decades. Never a bad meal. Whether it's "Ropa Viena", "Palomilla" or the "Criollo Fish" every single time it's been perfectly cooked. Consistency is everything to me. Authentic Cuban meals without breaking the bank.

On YouTube, “Strictly Dumpling” touted the New World Mall Food Court as having wonderful Northern and Southern Chinese Food. Decided to pay a visit. Walked around and counted 26 different businesses offering many varieties. There were meats on skewers that they could BBQ to order. Lots and lots of (Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese & Japanese) noodles and dumplings, stirred fries, etc. You can see them hand pulling noodles and making the dumplings. “Strictly Dumpling” raved about the foods offered at counter 28 in the corner. Many patrons were ordering there so we decided to try their lamb noodle soup. Deliciously hearty soup on a cold spring day. Just so happen the 4th nor’easter struck NYC on that day. The food court was on the lower level. There were additional sit down restaurants on the upper level of the New World Mall. Cleaner restrooms upstairs.

Authentic Greek Food.
Discovered it 2 years ago and have come back many times. Can't go wrong with simple gyros, salads, potatoes, French fries, all cooked to order and fresh. Beers, soft drinks. Can be very crowded. On a nice night, all windows completely opened up.
Polyglot patrons. Largely Greek waiters but not all. You are greeted with a smile. Also can order take out.
Reasonably priced. Leave a good tip!

Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot is a restaurant specializing in Mongolian style hot pot dining. With 36 spices and ingredients in our original soup base recipe, our flavorful broth is sure to satisfy every single one of your taste buds. The highest quality meats ranging from lamb, beef, pork, and poultry are sliced perfectly to cook within seconds of touching the simmering broth. When the mouth-watering scent of our hot pot hits you, you'll be hooked for sure! For vegetarians, we offer leafy greens, mushrooms, and other vegetables that perfectly complement our famous broth. Seafood lovers will also not be left out with our fresh seafood list. Mongolian Hot Pot serves as the forerunner to the modern fondue. Its history stems back hundreds of years to the nomadic Mongols, where tribes would gather to cook fresh meats in a communal pot with simmering broth. Today, hot pot still focuses on the fundamental ideas of fresh, healthy ingredients, sharing, friendship, family, and gathering!
This is one of the best, if not the best, Hot Pot experiences I've had. What set it apart? The quality of all ingredients were impeccably fresh, including the excellent soup broths. As well, there is so much variety (including around six kinds of chinese greens, multiple dumpling choices, a variety of mushrooms) that it becomes a really fun experience just deciding what to order. We arrived early on a Saturday night. Good thing too..by 8:00, there was a line out the door. This is a good choice for a group of friends or a family - everyone can get involved with the cooking. Most of the clientele were Chinese (except for us) - always a great sign. Lastly, this is a reasonably priced dinner - excellent value...and a relatively healthy meal. You could easily fill up on veggies and protein and skip all carbs if you want.
