After an absence of over two years, my wife and I ate at Gaston's again as members of a large birthday gathering. We were pleasantly surprised. I heard no complaints from any of the fourteen people in our party. Service was prompt, and the dinners were well prepared. I have read that a new chef came on board over a year ago and that must make all the difference in the world. The ambiance, antique decorations, views of the river, and now the excellent food is apparently improving the perception of Gaston's with travelers. Pay them a visit and see for yourself. We are glad that we returned.

Very good bbq! All the sides were really good except the slaw, I didn't care for it. Portions were huge but plenty to fill you up. We had pulled pork plates.

We stopped here for our evening meal. The food was nice, a little on the expensive side for what we ordered especially when there was a 25c charge for sour cream on a baked potato! I'm glad I didn't have butter as well. We both felt the service was rushed even though it was not busy.

There was a wide variety of food with decent prices. The roast beef sandwich was good, although I would have wanted more meat on it. People like different kinds of pizza, so f.y.i., the pizza had a crunchy crust and had a lot of garlic on it. Beware, those jalapenos are HOT!. The french fries are homemade, thin, skin on the potato. The spaghetti's sauce is made onsite, and was really good. The service was great!

When it's time to pull over and full up your body...it's worth waiting until you hit North Yellville right next door to the Welcome Center. You will be glad you did!!!

The enthusiastic recommendation of a local clerk brought us to this '50s style restaurant after hiking in nearby Bull Shoals State Park. Food was hot, fast, tasty, and plentiful and served by a wonderful server. Great fresh-brewed iced tea. Had the strawberry/rhubarb pie for dessert -- heaven.

We visited after a long day on the river. Our waitress (young lady) was top notch. She outdid the older ones trying to help her with our party. Ribs and BBQ were excellent. Serving size not too skimpy and not too much. Fried onions were my fave- and the ribs. They even have some healthy options for "those" folks. We'll be back each year!

We were passing thru and so glad we stopped. Seated right away. Chips and lots of salsa delivered with menu. Lots of choices. But since it was a lunch I did the supreme nachos. They had so much meat beans and cheese I was glad I ordered a half an order. They had the best seasoning. Husband had enchiladas and he said they were the best. We will definitely go back. Our server was so polite and is an asset to have him wait on you.

My family has a house in Bull Shoals, Arkansas and I've been visiting off and on since the early 1980's. Bush's Pizza has always been a staple and the pizza is still excellent. The owners are lovely and always super friendly. The pizza is thin crust (a rarity for this part of the country) and every kind we've tried is excellent. This trip, we also tried their dessert pizza (apple) and our kids (who are very picky eaters) couldn't stop eating it. Bush's has a fairly famous "giant cookie pizza" that has always been a fan favorite in our family as well.
The business has been for sale for about three years, but as of July 2017, the long-term owners are still at the helm and the pizza is as good as always. Please patronize these local businesses when you are passing through Bull Shoals for your fishing adventures or lake trips!
