The Shack was a good choice for a Saturday lunch while driving through.

The outside may seem a bit sketchy but the food and service far outpace the less than fine furnishings and building. Quesadillas were a bit too cheesy but the fajitas were excellent. Salsa was ho-hum but the chips were homemade and made for a nice appetizer to our meal. Go for the food and not the atmosphere and you shouldn't be disappointed. Love the lowrider out front!

Chain Restaurant
While we jokingly call Waffle House The Awful Waffle never had bad food there ever. The wait staff was awesome very attentive. Pretty inexpensive comfort food. Who doesn't like breakfast anytime of the day? And really unless your vegan or. vegetarian 3 words Get the bacon. :)

Along this stretch of I-65, through the middle of Alabama, this stop is very welcome. There are only small towns through this area and restaurants are not plentiful. This place only has fast food and there is an Arby's restaurant attached. If you don't want to go into the Arby's, Love's offers typical convenience store food--hot dogs, coffee, sodas, packaged foods. They also usually have cups of fresh fruit, which is not typical for many convenience stores. The greatest things about this place are the CLEAN restrooms, good parking, and reasonable gas prices.

The cashier seemed friendly. The people who bagged our order left out the requested BBQ sauce for the nuggets, and they put pickles on two burgers that had "no pickle" tickets attached. The Diet Coke tasted so awful I poured it out and got Dr. Pepper.
This is a newly remodeled store, but it's not very clean looking at the moment.

We stopped in Evergreen on a Megabus trip from New Orleans to Atlanta and the service at this Love's Gas Station/Arby's Restaurant was really exceptional. I got a little worried because the bus was crowded and we had limited time however the service was fast and friendly. My favorite part was, I was about to ask for extra salad dressing and it was already in the bag. That made me ring the bell!! GREAT JOB TRAVIS!!!! I hope I got your name right but you know who you are.

Zaxby's has always been one of our favorite chicken places, and while driving home from a trip, we stopped in this one for lunch. We were not disappointed.
Zaxby's has great chicken, and their sauces are delicious. This day, we had teriyaki wings, grilled chicken sandwich, finger sandwich, and a Big Zax snack.

Evergreen doesn't have many good places to eat . For a good steak you will want to eat at the Black Angus . It is conveniently located near the Interstate . Nice quite place to take a date or business associate

Wow this place was crowded yesterday on Saturday afternoon. Buffet available. Food was fantastic as was our waitress. The folks replenishing the buffet didnt acknowledge or respond to my chatter toward them, but quickly noted it is a racially separated culture yet. They wont talk to white folk unless they have to. Thats fine whatever. This place would have gotten a 5 from me.
