We stayed at a campsite to kayak the river, but did not want to really cook while there. We had members of our group that were Gluten-Intolerant/Celiac, so we were very limited on options. Mexican is typically safe. The place had typical Mexican affair, but nothing that was over the top amazing. My food was decent with pretty good guacamole. Food also was reasonably priced. The staff was VERY friendly! It's a small place and like I said without many other options it gets busy quickly.

We've been visiting Eminence & Ruby's for years and either my standards have gone up or this place has gone down. We ate breakfast here, and it left much to be desired. The coffee tasted stale, the cinnamon rolls were downright gross, and the pancakes were super dry. The only good thing was the super friendly staff and patrons. We are out-of-towners, so they enjoyed asking us where we were from, where we were headed, and we enjoyed visiting with them.

We stopped by here Sunday morning for breakfast but they had stopped serving so we had to eat lunch. We chose the lunch buffet. This is southern cooking. Really good white gravy. Nothing really exceptional.

Restaurant is upstairs. Full bar. Menu prices are reasonable. Porch rover looking main street is nice place to sit. The Double O Saloon is downstairs and will serve from the same menu as the restaurant. The Saloon has a pool table and Karaoke some nights. Staff is very friendly and the locals playing pool were too. Nice place to have dinner and a drink and relax.

We came on a Saturday around 6pm and requested seating outside. Our server was a bit on the sassy side, which might’ve been more appropriate for a 50’s diner, but she was knowledgeable and efficient, and we joined in the banter. Service was pretty slow, and they weren't busy at all on this Saturday early evening.
The Half-Pound Prairie Burger $11.50 was served on a brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, and a pickle spear. Slice of cheese was an extra $1.00. The burger was very good with nice flavor, and was served with choice of soup or salad.
The Crispy Cornmeal Crusted Catfish $15.95 was fried, with a cornmeal and panko crust and a Cajun remoulade, steak fries and vegetable. Portion seemed small, but the flavor was good. Fries were soggy. The salad was pretty good.
In all, we enjoyed relaxed dining out on the deck, with a view of the creek, and the service was attentive and efficient.
With the two Piney beers at $4.50 each plus tax & tip, our bill for two was $44

the Dairy Shack is great place to grab a cheese burger or philly sandwich or texas toast grilled cheese and fries. Better yet, the kids will love their corn dogs and ice cream. While zomato only rates the Dairy Shack a 2.8/5, clearly the raters forgot to spend a day or two on the river before stopping by the Dairy Shack. The service is great and often the lines are long... but this is classic Eminence at its best and has been for years.

We ate a breakfast here while in Eminence. It was good but nothing out of the ordinary. Service was fine. It is a bar and grill that serves breakfast.

We had driven down to southern Missouri on a day journey to attend the opening of a new state park. We chose to go a different way home and around late dinnertime, we found ourselves in Eminence, Missouri. Our driver spotted this little shack-like food truck on the side of the road and asked if anyone else was hungry. We pulled in and looked over the menu. While one of my friends got the barbecue pulled pork sandwich and the other got the same, but loaded, I was feeling more adventurous and ordered something I'd never had before: the barbecue pulled pork nachos. Barbecue pulled pork and nachos. What could possibly go wrong? Answer: Not a darn thing!! These were so delicious! The portion was generous enough for me to share a few bites with one of my friends. The barbecue sauce was just sweet enough and went well against the slight jalapeno bite of the cheese. Fantastic! I stopped by the window long enough to tell one of the ladies inside that the food was outstanding. If you see this place along the side of the road, I highly recommend that you stop and spend the $5 to grab a serving of this awesome food!

A table of four, from the time we ordered to the time it arrived was 55 mins. Alot of folks there, expected a great steak, was disappointed. Sent it back (undercooked) took 25 mins to get it back. Service was slow at best, customers were not waited on in the order they came in. Salad bar lettuce was wilted.Very pricey meal. The quality did not support the cost.
