Ellijay is a delightful place to be at different times of the year. Plan your trip for April and you can go on a picturesque apple blossom tour; in October, the annual apple festival takes place. Golf enthusiasts will find several golf courses within a few miles of Ellijay, the nearest of which is at the White Path Golf Club. If you want to experience the thrill of whitewater rafting, head for the Ocoee Whitewater Center, which is half an hour's drive from Ellijay. Even if you're not feeling active, you can sit and take in the wonderful scenery. For a change, you could go to a wine tasting or visit Ellijay's fascinating antique shops. If you really feel like a day in the city, Atlanta is only an hour's drive away.

We were in the area looking at homes and someone recommended this place. They did not steer us wrong. The server we had was very helpful and very nice. We had broccoli cheese soup, Chicken and wild rice soup and both were delicious. We each had a half a sandwich. I had the chicken salad sandwich and hubby had a special, spicy grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and jalapeno and ranch sauce. He said it was very good. I liked my chicken salad. We were not disappointed. A must when in Ellijay.

Took the family for dinner tonight. We were looking for a change from Mexican and fast food. Charlie’s did not disappoint. I had the tour of Italy which was delicious with fettuccine Alfredo, lasagna, stuffed manicotti. It was all good. My son had the kids pizza which was huge. Wife had baked stuffed shells that were very tasty. Service was great. I will be stopping by again soon.

We are a coffee house serving specialty coffees, pastries and paninis
Stopped in while we were visiting Ellijay and got a cup of coffee and sandwich. While the food and coffee was good, we felt it was a little overpriced for the servings. There seemed to only be one, maybe two people working there so it took a while to get our food. They have a small hotel that is attached, a cute patio area, and another indoor area with books and games. There were a lot of locals there eating or getting coffee to go. The young girl that took our order was friendly but everyone else seemed standoffish.

Service was not all that quick and there was not a line but the Latte Venti was excellent (hats off to the process) as usual for Starbucks. The Parking is a bit strange so if you don't want to go through the "to go" lane and get stuck in line, go out the way you came in. It seems against the logic of traffic flow but there is not room enough to get by a car at the to go window. Likely a "half lot" situation. This rating is biased because I am a Starbucks fan. Restroom was clean which is unusual for Georgia. However in Wyoming I have been served half a Venti before. So there is an upside.

Friendly service, good selection, nice portions for price and taste good. Red potatoes very good, haddock fish plentiful and cooked just right. Clams plate was very fulling with good taste. We'll be going back.

We stopped in while touring the area and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The ice cream is delicious, the atmosphere was very pleasant, there were bins of old fashioned candy and all in all, we were very happy with our experience. The staff is very efficient and friendly - give it a go!

Our Address is our factory bakery. We do not have a direct retail storefront. However, our bread is carried by all Apple Houses in the area. Alternatively, you can order bread anytime online at our website. Selections available will vary throughout the year.
Stopped by Osage Farms (we live in Sylva, NC) and saw this bread on display. Since I am a bread freak, we purchased the Jalapeno/Cheese bread, sourdough, and the apple cider donuts. Everything was INCREDIBLE!! Very fresh and delicious. I WILL be making the 30 mile one way trip to purchase more. The lady at Osage it was delivered fresh on Tuesday and Friday. Can't wait.

Okay, maybe “downtown” is an overstatement for this small town, but River Street Tavern is where everyone goes. Bartenders are excellent and the food is much much better than you might expect. Outstanding burger at the top of the menu, order lesser ones at your own risk. Salads very good, not great. Loaded potato salad delicious — if you want health food, maybe not for you. Great selection of Georgia draft beers, although not all always available. And a generous mixed drink if that is your thing. Occasional live music which can be very, very good. Not really a family place, but young (drinking age) and older, bikers and Birkenstocks, all welcome and mingle happily.

As usual I find Chic-Fil-A the #1 fast food place to go to. I have eaten at many of their restaurants and have always found them to have great food and awesome employee's. Never have we been disappointed.
