Doc and Susan Richardson started their journey on the Pro BBQ circuit. For several years they traveled the country competing and doing very well on the pro BBQ trail. Catering business started in 2009 and was a big hit with customers. Next step was a full service restaurant.
We tried Doc's Smokehouse for a to go order of pulled pork and it was very good. The sandwiches each included a side at a very reasonable price.

Spouse was dying for a butter-finger concrete. She had hers made with chocolate custard and loved it. I had a butter pecan cone. Very good. We went to the one on Illini Dr in Glen Carbon and sat inside. Service was prompt and friendly and the place was spotless.

Visited here after seeing them featured on Great Day St. Louis, and had to try the 81 layer cinnamon roll. It was totally with the drive!
They offer a huge selection of coffee from Goshen Coffee.
The cinnamon roll, banana bread, and cookie were great. The chai was good. The location is cute and relaxed.
A nice place for a Saturday afternoon stop.

Adding an aditional venue to the St. Louis well know chain was a great addition to Edwardsville. This is a wonderful place for kids &/or grown ups to celebrate a birthday with excellent pizza, salads, and more. As with any pizza, eating in is always better than the carryout. A little extra is that one can purchase their pizza dough to make al kinds of wonderful dishes at home.
Probably best known for their pizza the salads are unmatched.

The cup is a great place to pickup a treat for yourself or anyone really. They have a wide range of flavor combinations and I have not found one I do not like. They also have delicious butter cookies that my son prefers.

We are Edwardsville's hometown bakery. We bake fresh, small batches with no preservatives. From cinnamon rolls, cookies, cheesecake and brownies to scones, donuts and Danish we have a wide selection. We do specialty cakes including wedding, shower, anniversary and birthday. We love special orders!
This is the friendliest and best place to get desserts, cookies, scones, etc. They are all homemade. They have biscuits and gravy also. The cheesecakes are the best! And they are homemade also. Everything I have had is awesome!

Gourmet, chef driven Asian Fusion offering many traditional stir fries, along with creative twists, such as the Bangkok Boom - a Sapporo beer battered chicken or shrimp dish, and Asparagus stir fry! We offer convenient delivery, take out, and dine in. Full bar and extensive menu that even includes a grass-fed burger option (with Asian twist). Bring the whole family! Also available is a private dining area that accommodates up to 40 people.
We seldom eat in this area because we live close to St. Louis, Missouri.
However, Wang Gang does have excellent food and a wide variety of food. It is also close to our home.
I chose the shrimp kabobs, and they were some of the best I have had..
The soups are also outstanding.

After I visited the Carter store in Edwardsville yesterday I had lunch @ the nearby 54th Street Bar & Grill restaurant. I have been here several times. It was lunch time & had to wait about 15 minutes but was worth it. My waitress Katie was very friendly & prompt with my tea & food. I ordered the baked potato platter & was a loaded baked potato with my choice of soup. I got potato soup which is always delicious. The little mini loaf of bread with butter was great too. They have a varied menu. The restaurant is easy to find & also had a very nice patio. So if your in the area shopping stop by sometime.
