The Peppermint Twist has been serving family style food and milk shakes since 1982. There original peppermint milk shake is a hit if you love peppermint ... peppermint and more peppermint. Love the place, food and the milk shakes.

Here at McGarry’s, we serve up some of the finest pub fare you’ll ever try, featuring some Irish classics, American comfort food, and some inventive new dishes prepared by our amazing culinary staff. Then wash it all down with a pint from the best beer selection in the area.
What a find! The setting is a bit rustic but the food is unique and phenomenal. Bacon avocado sandwich was huge and delicious. Potato Leek soup and Caesar salad were the best.
Meal was completed with great coffee and home made pumpkin bourbon pie. Servers were attentive and excited about the food. Can’t wait to return.

I gave them a excellent rating because of staff person Julie. My wife wanted a tropical blizzard which they don't have any more, the girl who waited on us had never heard of them, ordered fries and a peanut Sunday, Julie took the time to come over to our table and made suggestions for some things similar

Truly a great menu with diverse options like pizza, fried chicken, steaks, prime rib. The waiter highly recommended the prime rib. I was glad I went with this, as they grill it, and have a little pepper rub on it as well. It was absolutely amazing.
The restaurant is incredibly busy, and you need to phone ahead to get on a waiting list for eating. But the staff is fantastic and had our group of 8 seated in no time. This is just a great place, a little off the beaten path.

We are family owned and operated Café. We pride ourselves with our made from scratch dressings, sauces and gravies along with our own Smoked Pulled Pork and our own homemade bbq sauce.
Rockford is a bedroom community with zero "downtown." The Bridge Street Cafe is on a side street off what is called "main" street, but it is worth looking for. The outside is very modest and has little street appeal. Inside, it is a "cafe" in the true sense of the word. It is not fancy or bright, but it is clean and hospitable. I had a pancake, bacon and eggs. The eggs were fresh, the pancake was huge and delicious and the bacon thick and crisp. Now this is a very basic meal, but it was so well prepared and tasted so incredibly good. Only open for breakfast and lunch.

This is the perfect spot to enjoy coffee and a sweet.
It is a great stop for Ice cream or a sandwich.
The deco is so nice. The staff is so friendly.
Every order is custom so ask any questions or requests - they will do their best.
I have been for lunch and for treats.
Even the new, clean, stylish bathrooms were a pleasure to visit.
And wi-fi avail while you sit inside or outside on the sidewalk.

Mario and Allie welcome you to Mario's! Amazing pizza, pasta & more! Don't forget Coffee, Espresso & Cannoli! See you soon...Ciao!
My brother and I were born in Watertown many, many, many (you get the point!) years ago. While visiting me from CA, he wanted to reminisce with a trip to the hometown. An unexpected surprise was waiting for us on Main Street!
We ended up calling my husband to drive over from Excelsior and join us for dinner. We can't say enough about the great food, ambience, and warm welcome from Mario and his staff. Truly fabulous Special that night and great pizza. My husband and I will be back with our bottle of wine tucked under his arm (it's BYOB!)
Thank you
Don, Nancy, Steve and Madelyn

It's a bit out of the way, a few miles south of Hwy 12 on County Road 92, but well worth the journey. Nesteled in the small town of Lyndale among horse ranches and fields, the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food will make you wish you lived closer. It is reminisent of an old time country bar/supper club. They offer a full bar, booth as well as table seating and can acomodate large groups. Plenty of off street parking. even for campers and RV's. In addition to the typical pub grub you'd expect, they also offer fall off the bone ribs, steaks done to perfection and a wide variety of specialty dishes. If you pass by this one, you missed an opportunity of a lifetime.

We were biking on the Luce Line trail and found ourselves in Watertown just after lunch time. Stopped in just because it was so convenient to the trail. Wow! First, we missed the Sunday brunch who's remains looked wonderful and we will probably go back for at some time. I had a special of the month, a chicken wrap which was very tasty. Their pasta dinner's looked great and I will have to go back to try those too. The servings are generous and the prices seemed very reasonable.

Now I'm familiar with Casey's Pizza having eaten many in the Des Moines, Iowa area, near where they are headquartered. I was anxious to try the one in Rockford to see if the quality is still there.
IT IS!
FIrst off - the pizza is great. The crust we got was a hand tossed. Not so thin that it was cardboard but not so think that it's all crust. Their crust has a great taste with just the right amount of elasticity.
The pizza we ordered was a large sausage. I'm not sure where they get their sausage from but I think it's great tasting with good texture.
The price? $10. This pizza tops all others, especially for the price.
