A business colleague and I dropped in here for lunch. Although they were busy, we were seated immediately. Our friendly server helped us figure out what to order, and the food came quickly. We both got French Onion Soup and it was perfect on a cold, windy day. I added fried green tomatoes, and my friend added a BLT. Everything tasted delicious. The owner chatted with us a little bit too. I think that is a nice touch on a first visit to a restaurant.

I'm no coffee connoisseur... However, I just stopped by the Java Shack for the second time in two days. My latte was nice and they had free trade raw sugar available for a little different taste than the usual refined stuff. The barista would have added sugar for me, but i like to add it to taste. My coffee this morning was also good and a great value at $2 for a large. I was surprised at the compostable cups and lids being used. The Java Shack seems like a rather green local business. Multiple liquid creamer choices were offered. It was still cheaper than other places I usually stop by on the way to work. The staff are friendly and helpful. They had muffins and snacks. No wait when I dropped by... I just wish they had a drive through!

TripAdvisor normally doesn’t steer me wrong, but this was one of those rare occasions. My husband & I on the way home to Florida from our daughters in Mississippi decided to check out Ed’s Restaurant. We both had the lunch special, a meat & three vegetables. I had fried chicken, normally my favorite, was cold & you could tell was cooked early in the morning. My vegetables were mashed potatoes, squash casserole & fried okra, another favorite normally. The casserole was the only one I really enjoyed it was warm & fresh tasting. The okra was cold, chewy and greasy . Potatoes & gravy were just okay. The roll they serve is straight out of a package from the grocery store. The iced tea was very good. My husband had roast beef, mashed potatoes & gravy, Lima beans and creamed corn. He enjoyed his meal. I tasted his Lima beans and creamed corn, both were warm and very tasty. I guess I just ordered the wrong thing.
In conclusion, would not get off I-10 again to go to Ed’s Restaurant. Sorry

The little caf with a big heart
The restaurant is small, but clean and cozy. The staff is welcoming and cheerful. The food was absolutely one of the best meals I've ever had. The ingredients were fresh and it was served hot off the stove - no waiting. We would recommend this place to EVERY ONE !

Yes, the place is very small and very popular. The owner is very nice and friendly. He clearly loves to feed his customers. The Chicago Dog was delicious and had all the right ingredients. The Cheeseburger was equally delicious, cooked to perfect, tasted great and was placed on the 75 year old grill in its fresh form and not frozen. We will be back here again!

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of the gal at our hotel. It was somewhat out of the way but we found it and were so happy we did. The food was delicious...my husband commented that this was the best Italian food he has ever had. The service was outstanding and I put together my own dish...spaghetti, butter and garlic, basil and fresh chopped tomatoes. They did exactly what I asked and I cleaned my plate!! My only disappointment was the spumoni...was not my favorite!!!

This little place is worth the short 2 mile drive off the interstate! The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. If we didn't live 1800 miles away, we'd come often. We each had the pork, beans and coleslaw. Everything was quite tasty and cost only $16 for two people. We also loved the decor. The walls are fun to read.

My husband and I live around 30-A and if you are wanting country cooking that will bring you back time and time again this is the place! We love the beautiful Drive north out of the crowds of the beach area. We have become regulars at Heats and have never been disappointed. Thank you Delores for all the ❤️ you put into your delicious food. Locals Don and Leigh

Small casual restaurant 3 miles off of Interstate 10. Friendly and quiet. Just good ole country folks serving good ole food.
I wouldn’t call it the best pizza ever, but it was very good. We ordered 2 pizzas (takeout) for a family of 6 and we had a few left overs. The staff was very friendly however I was a little confused by the decor. We walked in and at first I thought we were walking into a Chinese restaurant. The entrance just had that feel, and was even equipped with a fish tank. How odd. Other than that, it was good food that I would recommend to anyone!
