Located in Defiance, Missouri, the "Gateway to Missouri Wine Country," Chandler Hill Vineyards is a haven from busy St. Louis yet only 10 miles from Highway 40/64. The winery is Tuscan-inspired with a Napa twist and Missouri soul. Chandler Hill is open year-round and offers a large tasting room, an expansive deck with vineyards views, as well as a full-service restaurant and event venue. We're both family-friendly and pet-friendly (pets outdoors only). Founded in 2008 in Defiance, Missouri, Chandler Hill is only 30 minutes west of St. Louis, and is adjacent to America's first wine district, Augusta, Missouri. This unique grape-growing region has produced some of the highest quality wines in the Midwest. Chandler Hill proudly grows Chambourcin, Vignoles and Norton. In addition to our award-winning Missouri wines, Chandler Hill also offers a selection of the very finest wines from the West Coast. Our West Coast wines come from our vineyards in Napa Valley, Willamette Valley, Columbia Valley and the legendary Central Coast. The grapes are hand-selected by our vintners to produce the finest wines. Stop by and taste our wines, take a tour, relax on our magnificent 4,500-square-foot terrace and enjoy our exceptional food. You will see why we are "First in Wine Country."
We've been to Chandler Hill several times. The location is very attractive and the outdoor seating is comfortable. The menu has a nice selection of casual foods (salads, sandwiches, etc.) and a fairly decent selection of appetizers. The cheese plate had a nice selection of cheeses with supplements, and the salad and sandwich we ordered were good. The large crowd was a bit understaffed, so we felt a less-than-satisfactory attention from our server, but he was pleasant when he came around. They have a fairly good wine list (including a good selection of non-Missouri wines). My major complaint is that the wine prices seem almost predatory. Cheapest glass is $9 and most are in the $11-$15 range, with bottle prices not much better. You can get these same vintages for much less at most other restaurants. Other than that, a very nice afternoon outside on a beautiful day!

We truly enjoyed our dining experience at The Silly Goose. We decided to try the fried green tomatoes appetizer with just drinks our 1st night in Augusta. They were as good as ones we had in South Carolina at a favorite restaurant. We returned the following evening & had the conch appetizer followed by Blackened scallops & Chipotle ribs. Everything was outstanding! We can't wait until our next trip there to try more of the awesome food.

We went hiking today to soak in some of the beauty of fall in the Missouri countryside, and stopped at The Head Store for lunch. This cafe is located in an original 1892 store, the current owners have done a great job in restoration. You can sit in are out (on comfortable adorondick chairs on the front porch). The menu is great and on the weekends they serve Pappy's barbecue, alcohol is available. Staff was friendly and we have now added this to a for sure date destination.

The food is really good. The atmosphere is good, and the service is good. This restaurant is located in a country setting. Get ready for an old fashioned country drive. Plan ahead especially in the fall and make a destination trip while eating some of the best food in Franklin County.

Bristol offers the area’s freshest premium seafood, Prime steaks & an impressive wine selection. We work with quality fishmongers, water men, ranchers & artisan producers to create dishes that are excellent from the start, using fine ingredients that separate the good from the great. Enjoy our seamless service in a classic, upscale atmosphere that truly sets it Bristol Seafood Grill apart from other seafood restaurants.
We frequent the Bristol in both O’Fallon, MO and Leawood, KS and are never disappointed with the quality of the food or service. This last visit was no exception. Our large party of 9 reserved the private room for a family birthday celebration. We enjoyed starters of sushi and lobster bisque. Then ordered a variety of items off the extensive menu including the mixed grill, enchiladas, blackened chicken with penne pasta, and salmon dishes. We finished with creme brûlée served with fresh raspberries - so good! Service was excellent as was our meal.

Kate's offers delicious food, hot & iced coffee, smoothies, and desserts! We've tried a little of everything now during several different visits. Coffee is smooth & balanced. Good to the last drop every time. Quiche and ham croissant are delicious! Bakery items are a special treat! (Try the iced banana bread!) Chocolate peanut butter smoothie is yummy! Nice area to sit inside, wifi available, and nice patio area to sit outside to enjoy the great weather! One of our favorite places to visit when in the Augusta area!

We went to Big Chief with friends for drinks and an early dinner. We decided to sit inside (great choice). "Momma", our server, was great and we had a good time. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak that comes with homemade mashed potatoes, green beans AND a side of soup or salad. I chose the Pulled Pork Chowder. "Everyone should try this soup". The Chicken Fried Steak was HUGE and very good. If you have'nt eaten at Big Chief Roadhouse, you should.

Very nice restaurant. Caldwell's is the sister restaurant. ...a few of the same things on the menu, but also some uniquely BC items. Very nice place for lunch --- glass of wine and entree $20.
French Onion Soup...not great. Too much worcestershire, not enough sherry or cheese.
Salads excellent...great dressings.
Nice wine list.
Server friendly and warm. Nice lunch!!

We went there to have lunch on the advise of a friend. We were told the French dip and hamburgers were excellent. That maybe true but we ordered the spinach dip and warm house made chips excellent. Our party also had one of those very large hamburgers and the very fine French fries. While we have the chili dog(one pound dog) very tasty. Since our friends live in the area I'm sure we will try the cafe again. Also the Pepsi is spot on not too sweet or tart. People always write about service, but since there was only one waiter and she had 12 tables she tried very hard.

We visited in the middle of a lazy warm fall afternoon. The restaurant was empty but the beer deck was full. Nice view of the railroad tracks, other brewery buildings and river.
Sadly the waitress failed to mention they have sweet potato fries - I was offered chips, fries or Cole slaw. I LOVE sweet potato fries - but they were not on the menu or mentioned, but the table next to us had them served after we finished our meal.
Nice food - the ham was very good with Gouda cheese in the ham and cheese sandwich. The portobello mushrooms were delicious in the wrap but ask for horseradish, not ranch.
Nice beer selection - accurately described and nice variety with more than just IPAs.
