I have heard alot of good things about this restaurant but had never stopped for various reasons. Finally did and was really impressed. Ate the chicken fried steak and it was excellent! Gravy was excellent as were the hand cut fries and the homemade rolls. I highly recommend this place.

When there in the afternoon and got dark roast coffee, which means they have to do a pour over. No problem. They did it quick and fast. Friendly staff also.

Decatur is a real west Texas Town along US 287, heading into the prairies. Braum's serves real burgers and fries - fresh, juicy and nicely prepared. It's served fast, but it's better than fast food. They also serve world-class ice cream - save room. For those of us on the road, their convenience store has great items! I always keep my eye out for Braum's!!!

Long wait if you get there past 7:00 p.m. on weekends. Good food, service, and margaritas. They have many different rooms so if you do not have children with you and want a little quieter then you should request as this restaurant is family friendly and usually has many children. They are flexible with substitutions like if a meal comes with 2 enchiladas you can substitute one for a taco. We have eaten here many times and always have a good experience.

My visit was somewhat disappointing. The service was fine and quick, however, my food was average at best. Chicken was overdone and only covered half the bun. I usually expect better at DQ.

In an area mostly populated with chain restaurants this beautiful new café and bar stands out. I always look for the perfect pourover (drip) coffee whenever I travel and this met all of my needs. The space has been beautifully designed with one-of-a-kind wood slab tables. I didn’t get a chance to come back in the evening when other types of adult beverages are available.

If your looking for a place to ride and eat, Roosters Roadhouse in Decatur is a great place. Good food, good service and great atmosphere. It's get's busy around lunch, so if your a big group you might call ahead. Big place, though with several rooms to sit. Everything I've had there is great. Nice town too, with plenty of good roads for riding.

Cute place with super friendly and fast service. Great sandwiches; make sure you get onion rings-large and crispy! So many selections of pie had to have one piece there and one for the road.

This is a better than average TX roadside BBQ place. Like most, it's cafeteria style and the wait was too long. The good: nice warm interior seating; beautiful outdoor seating with garden. Super clean. The average: nicely blackened brisket but I made the mistake of ordering the lean cut which was dry. The sides were excellent. The bad: Must be the only BBQ place in Texas where you have to go back and break into line for more sauce. The sauce tasted vinegar based and was good but you serve yourself in tiny plastic cups at the beginning of the line. If u want more, you have to squeeze against the traffic flow and engage in an endless round of "excuse me." Bad execution of a terrible idea to save sauce so guess.

The salad bar here is small, but every time I go, it's the best tasting salad around. You can also get a bowl of beans. The catfish is very good. I didn't care for the frog legs, but the shrimp was very good as well.
