Everything on the buffet was delicious. There was a large selection of foods to choose from including salad, cole slaw, beans, fried and baked fish, and desserts to name a few. The highlights for me was the fried shrimp, fried catfish, hush puppies, and of course the cinnamon rolls. Those have to be the best cinnamon rolls I have ever tasted! Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. We definitely want to go back!

We found this restaurant searching on google. The food was really good, the place was very clean. I had the enchilada trio, one chicken, one beef, one cheese with cheese sauce. They were all superb. I wish we had this restaurant in Louisiana.

Freshly ground beef every morning and seasoned with spice blend makes this 1/3 lb. hamburger the best in Arkansas. Sear and cooked on a flat top grill the juices remain inside the burger. The great soft bun held the condiments and cheese. Fresh cut fries cut when they cook your burger makes this a great meal and stop.
It was 7:00 pm and it was packed. Great meal!

We ate at this restaurant last night. The food was just ok and there were about 7 children running around making alot of noise. The price seemed high. We will not likely return.

Ever since I lived in Russellville in October 1999, I never once tried out Old South Restaurant. I would usually try other places in town to see how I like the food. My first visit today was impressive! I love the retro diner feel to it, and the building was kept up well. When entering, the staff quickly seated me. I was greeted with Southern friendliness when I was seated; so, I knew I was in for a treat. I decided to order their 1/3 pound hamburger with a side of mashed potatoes. The food prep was quick, and the waitress brought the food out. The 1/3 pound burger was incredibly juicy and luscious; the burger was cooked excellently! I wanted to have some ranch dressing for the burger, and that tasted very well. For the mashed potatoes, the taste was delicious, and their country gravy was great. Pricing for the food on their menu is very reasonable and inexpensive compared to other places I visited. One tip I have is that parking is somewhat limited, and the diner was at least 3/4 filled during my visit close to 10:30 a.m. After this awesome first visit, I would love to come back again to try their other items, including their fried okra and fried green tomatoes!

We went last night and made the mistake of going on the late side. The food was good and well priced. We ordered the Fried Mushrooms as an appetizer. The batter was light and crispy and the mushrooms very flavorful. Not the typical over-battered frozen stuff. It came with a great garlic dipping sauce. Even though it was an appetizer for one, it was more than enough to share between the three of us. My husband and I ordered the crab legs. He got salad and onion rings with his and I got a loaded baked potatoe and corn on the cob with mine. His salad was crisp and well presented. There was a slight mix up with his onion rings so they arrived after we started eating, but it only took them a few minutes to get them to him. Again, the batter was light and crunchy and he liked that they were hand made. The only downfall was that three of the onion rings were actually entire onion slices like someone forgot to separate the rings before battering and frying them. My loaded baked potato was very good, but my corn on the cob was more than a little dried out. The crab legs were really good. We were a little nervous at first because they are served wrapped in aluminum foil, but the reason soon became clear. They use a peppery spice on their crab legs and use the aluminum foil to steam the flavor inside. The spice was just enough to add interesting flavor without being so hot that I could not eat it. Our daughter ordered the chicken tender basket which came with fries and Texas toast. When it came out, the fries were actually chive fries. It was good, but not expected since the menu did not point that out. Our server was nice, but a little hard to find at times. There were several times where she walked right by our table as I was trying to get her attention. I finally had to get up and stand right in her path.
Now the reason to go early. As I mentioned, we made the mistake of going on the late side of dinner. Expect a lot of noise. While we were there, the band was setting up and warming up. To be blunt, this nice restaurant transforms into a meat market/bar scene. I was more than a little shocked at the camel toe and cellulite show coming in the door. One woman's dress didn't even cover her lady parts (yet they let her in) and I began to wonder if they were having a street walker's convention. If you are dining with your family, go early or don't go at all.

Buffet, all you can eat style Southern cuisine. Prepared from scratch using the same recipes developed in 1971. Attention to freshness and quality sets Catfish N apart from other buffets in the area.
Sitting on the bank of the Arkansas River, serves the best catfish & hushpuppies around. Monthly specials are awesome. Try to catch the Memphis Style BBQ ribs. Everything is made from scratch. Homemade cobblers. A little off the beaten path but well worth the effort to find.

I was working in a factory and smell tomato basil all day. 12 hour shift and i had a PB sandwich so i was lookin for Italian food for dinner. Passed this place a couple times. So this time i stopped. I was greeted immediately, shown the specials and informed i could seat myself anywhere when i was ready. My drink order was taken almost as soon as i was seated. I skimmed the menu but then decided on a special. The tortellini al sugo. I was brought bread that appeared made in house since its ropes curled into a roll shape with a little butter/oil, hint if garlic (i couldnt taste the garlic) and some course salt. It was actually quite pretzel like but good and the marinara was well prepared and flavorful (ive been places where its appeared to be canned chopped tomatoes with italian seasing blended in...). I got a salad to and was a little disappointed to not have an option (garden, csaesar, etc) but chose a vinegrette. The salad came out and was just greens, onion and tomato, so again i was a little disappointed there wasnt some olives and freshly grated cheese to make it look a little more palatable. Additionally the vinegrette looked like chef boyardee cheese sauce. I poured and started in and to my surprise the vinegrette was actually really good and brought that salad to life. My entree came out and was a large portion. It was cheese tortellini with spinach, mushrooms and walnuts in a cream sauce. The ugly truth is, even when ordering this i was skeptical. I was afraid it would be a buttery overly cheese laden cheap alfredo sauce. BOY am i glad i was wrong! And im glad i took a chance. The tortellini was cooked just right, the pasta held up well but was so tender to bite, the mushrooms were fresh not canned, the walnuts made it interesting and the sauce was perfect! It was this wonderful light cream sauce that made you feel like you were cheating on a diet without the guilt. No binders, no extenders, no thickeners, just a few natural ingredients cooked to perfection. So Service was great, bread was good, salad was ok and entree was fantastic. Highly recommend and i’ll definitely return.

We recently took a large group into the Dardanelle Pizza Hut for business to eat the daily lunch buffet because we were pressed for time. Unbeknownst to us the buffet ends at 1:00 every day and it was about 1:15. Never fear, the staff went to work and had our group 7 pizzas out in less than 15 minutes that were hot and delicious. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is top notch. This is one of the best Pizza Huts you'll find anywhere. A true gem!

This place is located by the railroad depot in downtown Russellville, AR. They have a variety of sandwiches and other entries. You are entertained by an overhead electric train moving throughout the restaurant. I have always found the food tasty and the service good.
