The strangers on Alfred Hitchcock's most famous train began their journey at Danbury, Connecticut's main station, along with thousands of other travelers over time. Now converted into the Danbury Railway Museum, the station and yards are open to visitors, with a collection of historic railroad cars and equipment. Just a few miles outside of the city's pretty historic center is Bear Mountain Reservation, a quiet forest parkland with hiking trails overlooking the calm waters of Candlewood Lake.

We visited CT for a week in December and ate at this diner 3 times. I found the service to be great, the food was good, ( I tried the po troast at night anf it was tender, and delicious and the portions were huge}. Prices here were reasonable.

Great food, attentive staff. I can't speak to 'authenticity' (whatever that is for tapas), but each dish was wonderfully prepared, with creative flare and balance. We enjoyed seeing all the dishes going to other tables - will have to return and try some more!

Have been a loyal customer for years. Excellent food....cannot get thisd stuff anywhere else as good as this. Very simple interior so if you are looking for something fancy or upscale then this is not the place. But if Vietnamese food is your choice for the night then this is it

Mediterranean Food
The grape leaves at Lebanese Cuisine are the BEST we have ever had!!! Many of the other dishes, including the hummus, Zaatar (mini "pizza" made with Thyme) and Spinach Pie.
The owner/chef is so impressive- happy, cordial and generous (gave us free tasting of his delicious vegan apps). It is obvious he takes great pride in his food. He graciously accommodates special diets, if you just ask.
While I didn't have time, the market attached to the restaurant looked like it has some different and authentic Lebanese foods. I glanced over and saw lots of desserts and pantry full of packaged foods.
The prices are very fair, though the atmosphere is lacking. Still, I love that you can BYOB and so I don't expect much. Oh, they do offer wine glasses and ice if you just ask.

Whenever we are in Connecticut, we visit the Sycamore at least once. I'm not usually a soda drinker (I kicked the daily diet coke habit!), but Sycamore has amazing root beer served in frosty mugs, so I always order one, and am tempted to order a second. They have a fun menu with lots of great burgers and sandwiches as well as breakfast. I love the curly fries. The servers are always really nice and attentive, and the food comes out quickly and is always hot. The atmosphere is old school and charming, from the counter stools to the little booths and paper placemats on the tables. The price point can't be beat!

This is not just having lunch —- it’s an *experience*. We had no expectations; just tried a new pizza restaurant. The menu offered different fare from that to which we were accustomed, so I was curious. They offer appetizers, red pizza, white pizza, and a few assorted options for the non-pizza lover. They pride themselves in fresh, farm-to-table toppings on their Artisinal pizza, and they lived up to their promise. I enjoyed a white pizza with goat cheese, mozzarella and spinach drizzled in an olive oil mixture that was delicious beyond words. My husband had a sausage pizza, made with fresh sausage, tomato sauce, and basil and he raved about it! The crust in both was exceptional.
Restaurant ambience was a step above typical for a pizza place but the service went far beyond our expectations.
You’re in for a treat!

Family and friends gathered for a graduation party.. we were given a delicious bruschetta made with chopped zucchini and yellow squash and cannellini beans in a tomato base... warm over Italian bread.. it was amazing.. there was family style tomato, onion and lettuce salad.. excellent... we were given 5 or 6 entrees from which to choose.. I had the grilled salmon with a freekah salad with pieces of oranges slices and peppedew peppers... excellent.. 3 others at my table had it and also loved it... one of us had the steak and egg and potato dish.. she said it was excellent.. another had the sausage tomato peas over pasta.. excellent... I would go back in a heartbeat!!

Third lunch at Mezon over the last 18 months. Food is delicious and spot on. I highly recommend the tapas lunch special (2 plates for $14), and the kale salad. This visit was a celebration of our anniversary, we shared to lunch specials and split a kale salad. With one sangria and a sparkling water the bill was a reasonable $53. Wait staff was pleasant, knowledgeable, and attentive in a decor that was clean and attractive. A true delight and worth pulling off I-84 if you're passing through the Danbury, CT area.
