We stopped to eat on our way home from Red River, NM. It was filthy! We could not find one clean table to sit and eat. I took an antibacterial wipe out of my purse to clean a spot for us to eat. The whole eating area was dirty, including the floors. On our way out, I went to the restroom and it was just as filthy. I will NEVER stop here again!

Daylight Donuts is a good little donut stop. Of course, kolaches are a requirement in Texas, and they don't disappoint here, and they have some pretty decent breakfast burritos to go with.
It is, of course, your typical no frills donut stand, but before the sun wakes up it's a good place to get a drinkable cup of joe and maybe an apple fritter.

The atmosphere is amazing, friendly volunteers, and coffee is so good! It's the only coffee we drink! Variety of flavors and other gift items to purchase are meaningful and fun. Overall a great place. I love that the money I spend on coffee is improving the lives of others!

The Grill is recently under new owners and management. We are a small diner that offers dine in or carry out. We have breakfast, burgers, shakes, and more!
Stopped for lunch on our vacation to Colorado. Got good reviews on the internet so we stopped. It's a little off the beaten part but worth the time. The food was excellent! Hamburgers were among the best we have eaten. Quality meat. They were still busy at 1:30 on Monday. It a small Mom and Pop operation and certainly not fancy. Don't miss this if you are passing through Dalhart while on vacation.

The brisket was moist and tasted great, and a generous portion size, too. My partner had the sausage, which he said was incredibly good. Finished dinner with their homemade peach cobbler - and that was amazing! If you're passing through Dalhart as we were, this friendly little restaurant is well worth a stop.

The location is in a high traffic area with a lot of street construction, so it was easier to walk to it from the motel, other than trying to drive there. The food was good and the service was friendly.

Sports Bar & Grill, 9 TVS, Full Bar, Daily happy hour and specials
Point your vehicle west and travel 1.3 miles to the golf course. Turn right, cross the railroad tracks and enter a surprise venue. We walked in approximately 20-minutes from closing but the wait staff took our order and prepared our meal just like it was the first order of the day! The hamburgers were steaming when they arrived. Big screen TV allowed us to watch the Dallas Cowboys.
