On a recent visit to Lawrenceville square, my friend and I decided to get a cupcake at Special Kneads and Treats. We did not know how special the place was and their mission. The cupcakes were delicious and the popcorn was addictive. A worthy place to visit and enjoy enjoy a treat.

The owners hail from New York, and they instill the secrets of New York diners into the menu. This is one of the few restaurants in Lawrenceville with authentic home fries. Local potatoes are seasoned and dotted with sauteed vegetables, and served as a hefty side to the popular corned beef hash platter. You'll find belly-filling, homemade portions similar to what you would tuck into at your grandmother's house. If you're craving Belgian waffles, top them with a "fruit salad" of strawberries, blueberries, bananas and whipped cream. The vanilla batter is griddled in a cast-iron waffle maker, lending itself to a browned exterior and a fluffy center. Whether you bring the family in after a game or after church, you'll fit in.-AJC
Been here several times for breakfast and lunch and enjoyed every time. Everything is fresh and well prepared. Coffee is flavorful and plentiful. Hash and eggs, one of my favorites. is consistently delicious. The homefries are great and remind me of New England.

Brunch Apothecary is upscale for what you might find in the area. It's dishes are ecclectic and really good. It's prices are really reasonable given the quality and portion sizes. We'd recommend the Red Rooster and Build your own biscuit options, though other dishes coming from the kitchen looked just as good. The only suggestion might be they could upscale the coffee a bit by offering hot cappuccinos, etc...

We love the donuts here. Lots of varieties, and they are all delicious! Just make sure you go early for the best selection! The maple bacon is a favorite.

My first visit to the new location, although we enjoyed the original many times...a great place to meet friends for lunch! I loved the decor and spaciousness of the new place .....combine to create a good vibe! (The first location was Very crowded and Very loud!) I took a good friend who had never been to LR and she loved it too. I had the Joe Burger which was huge and delish accompanied by fries that were just very average , while my friend enjoyed a fried green tomato sandwich which she really liked. The server was friendly, but not super attentive. We will most certainly return and maybe start with one of their yummy desserts which I had no room for this time!

We were halfway home on a 12 hour drive, when Google maps spotted this gem. It was bitter cold and rainy, and we were greeted warmly by the staff. Soon thereafter, the server came back with bowls of lemon chicken noodle soup, pasta salad, chickpeas, and pickled beets. I said, "But we didn't order this!" She smiled and said it was complimentary for all dine-in guests. Our order arrived, and they were very generous in portion. As we were finishing up, I mentioned we had hours of driving to go, and she sent us on our way with fresh baklava! Such a sweet woman! I wish we were locals.

I had a coupon so we met there for lunch this week. Loved the atmosphere. We had the chicken salad plate. It was probably the best chicken salad I have had. I brought back to work a brownie with chocolate icing and planned on sharing...well that didn't happen. Cute decorations but it is very loud to try and have a conversation. They close at 6pm.

This place is so wonderful! Not only do they always have a good variety of yogurt but the service is always outstanding! The staff always make you feel comfortable about trying the different flavors and encourage it. They are always nice to my son and offer him stickers and balloons. I highly recommend!

My wife and I went there for dinner Saturday night and had a very good experience. I was in a shrimp and fish mood, so I got the shrimp and fish basket.y wife ordered stuffed grouper and it was equally good. On the drinks side, she had unsweet tea and I got a Guinness stout, which was fresh and quite tasty. We didn't try out any dessert, because we were full, so maybe next time. Service was fairly quick, even though it was very crowded, and the prices were reasonable. All in all, a very good night out.
