Once a great local place to gather for a good meal, the last several visits have been extremely disappointing. The waitstaff is pleasant and has been the reason I return time and again, but the length of time spent waiting to get food and the lack of communication from the kitchen when ingredients or offerings are unavailable have become too much. A recent visit for Saturday breakfast was nearly a two and a half hour ordeal. We waited nearly 40 minutes to initially be waited on, then another 45 minutes for food to arrive, and none of the four orders were correct. Initially they were busy, but by the time we were served, there were only six people in the place and we still had to get up and find a waitress to freshen our coffee and send a couple of plates back to the kitchen. A shame, because this once bright light has dimmed to a point where even us locals won't go back.

Truth be told, I took the train out to Cut Bank because I desperately needed to spend some quality time in the middle of nowhere. I loved watching and chasing after the trains and eating in the restaurants and chatting with the stray local, but that was part of the plan too. What I did not expect was such a spectacular cup of coffee, served to me from a booth in a strip mall parking lot in Cut Bank, Montana. Whatever you're doing, keep up the great work!

To be honest, I tend not to expect much from strip mall restaurants. But I was stuck at the Super 8 after having a couple too many to drive. I wasn't desperate enough to walk to Pizza Hut or Mickey D's, so I walked a little further from the motel and gave this place a chance. The server was friendly and attentive, and he brought my fish and chips out to me scalding hot, earning himself a good tip. I can't exactly rave about the ambiance - multiple TVs and a Stonehenge of slot machines. Still, the fish was good and the price was quite reasonable. I'd go there again.

We stopped in for dinner upon our motel owners recommendation.. Glad we did! The place looked like a pool hall and bar, but the food was good and at a good price. The bartender was very personable and helpful with local information and directions.

Good, predictable pizza as Pizza Hut is good at. Without any gluten-free seasoning choices for wings, I ordered "naked" wings and they were surprisingly tasty, hot, and crispy. My only concern was that when Gail took our phone order and I asked if the seasonings were gluten-free, she responded "I wanna say yes". My hesitation caused her to ask the cook--fortunately, since none were edible for me. Manager was helpful and friendly when husband picked up the order.

New start up brewery! Owners are hands on. Fast and friendly service! We tried all the beers. Enjoyed them. Well brewed. Nice atmosphere!

We had the chicken salad wrap and was very disappointed in the taste. I think it was suppose to be like tuna salad but really wasn't the same. We really liked the huckleberry tea and lemonade. Wait staff were friendly and helpful.

I have gone there several times, certainly the food quality was always fine. The prices are higher than fast food, but since they serve real food, I never minded paying a couple extra dollars. The portions are adequate for a filling lunch and the baked brownies are awesome. I only rated the place so low because of horrible statements made by the owner at my last visit. To a table of customers in the main dining area he loudly explained he moved to Montana to be somewhere that has mostly white people. He then followed this up with several racist statements about people he perceived to be Mexican, and brown people in general. He wasn't telling jokes, all statements were made plainly and rather matter of fact. I won't support him with any of my money and I think it is fair to warn people before they enter here that they may be exposed to an openly racist business owner. There are several other places in town where people can eat not have to deal with a bigot. I gave them a two star rating only because other than the Texan owner, the place seemed really good.

The staff is friendly and will work with you to make the subs exactly how you want them. The selection of cheese is my only real issue with this Subway as well as the other stores in the same market area as they make the ingredient offering decisions by region. No Swiss cheese or even Provolone is available. This leaves you with American, Pepper Jack, shredded Mozzarella, or shredded Colby/Jack as the only options. Sliced cheese works best for subs and with only two choices, it isn't much of a choice. American is bland and PepperJack is too spicy. Shredded is just too messy for a sandwich unless you toast it which only dries out your sandwich. I know providing more options increases the cost of doing business and cheeses like Provolone or Swiss are the most expensive options, but a good selection is what keeps customers coming back. Franchises don't seem to understand that cutting options back results in less repeat business especially if you cut favorites.

The Bad: The food was below average even for Mickey D's. They worst part of the adventure into the culinary hell was the fact there were flies everywhere. The girl that was helping me kept hesitating taking my order to give them the Indiana Jones towel snap. It was the same one used to wipe down the counters with.
The good: somehow even with the deplorable conditions, I didn't end up with food poisoning.
