The diner has state of the art kitchen equipment, stainless steel appliances and a 50's era counter top and barstools. There is a timeless feel of a 1950's soda fountain, complete with the music from the 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s. The menu includes everything from cheeseburgers and soups to wraps and salads. The quality and presentation is unmatched anywhere in the area. Did I mention that in addition to a full lunch and dinner menu, they also carry the famous Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream handling anywhere from 20-30 different flavors at any given time!
Soup To Nuts is our - and TripAdvisor's - #1 restaurant in Crivitz, but we'd never dropped by for breakfast before this AM, with relatives. $45, including 20% tip, for beverages and GENEROUS portions of delicious home cooking for five adults! Strongly recommended for a great way to start the day! And don't forget the end-of-year customer appreciation FREE ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT ICE CREAM PARTY at end of year!!

Rene's is hands down the best restaurant/ bar in the area. The bar is big and the drinks are great. The steaks here are hard to beat, anywhere! The prices are slightly lower than their local competition (The Woods and Hilltop). The unbelievable selection at the soup/salad bar separates this place from all others. The service is always friendly and timely. The main dining room is very big and there is a smaller room that gets used with big crowds and in slower winter months. We go to Rene's year round and have never been disappointed in thirty plus years! My favorite restaurant, period!

Always a great selection - the prime rib was so delicious and a perfect medium rare. There was ham, smoked pork tenderloin, their amazing broasted chicken and butterfly shrimp- along with veggie, potatoes, stuffing, salad bar and desserts It’s always a nice way to spend...MoreThank you very much! We are glad you enjoyed your time with us! Happy Easter!

Had dinner here on our yearly trip with a group of friends. Absolutely loved the food, staff and ambiance! Old Fashions really hit the spot, and I love the salad cart. I have been coming to this place since it opened and just love it and never have anything but a great experience!
Will come back again and again:)

We had a very good experience at the Gateway. This was a bar and grill atmosphere that appeared to be popular with the locals. The outdoor patio was nice and the weather was lovely, but our party chose to eat inside as people were smoking in the outdoor seating areas. We ordered appetizers, but also appreciated the free popcorn while we waited for our orders to arrive. Happy Hour drink was a tall Jack and Coke for $4 which was appreciated by several in the party. Dining in the Crivitz area was more challenging for our group as we were also trying to accommodate a vegetarian, and she enjoyed the margherita pita though it was more of an appetizer than entree. The kids' fare was good - no complaints from them. I had a shrimp dinner - the fries and side salad were very good, fried shrimp were standard fare but fine. Service was prompt and accommodating to splitting the check in our party. We would definitely recommend a visit if staying in the area and looking for a casual dining experience.

What a great place! We have been driving past this for a few years and finally was able to stop for dinner. It was fantastic! Best old fashioneds and dinner was excellent! Will definitely have to try their prime rib soon. Extremely reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Worth the stop for sure!

We had their pizza & it was great but their fish & salad bar are NOT. Menu says "Happy Hour" & when we asked about it the waitress asked the owner/manager & she said "not now, maybe another day". WHAT???? Not now!?

Although you can not really see the river, Riverside is on the Peshtigo river. It has delicious cheese curds ( A staple in Wisconsin), and decent BLT's. However, when I was last there for homecoming with a group of friends, my Ruben was soggy, the bottom bread slice was very watery, and the sauerkraut was cold. I know this restaurant can do better, but that one experience has altered my perception.

Hilltop is typical of an "Up North" Wisconsin Supper Club. Friday night fish, Prime Rib on Saturdays, etc. Ordering is a little confusing when going there for the first time. You get menus from the bartender and when you're ready to order you notify them and they send the hostess over to take your order. They seat you in the dining area when your food is nearly ready. We were there on Saturday night, labor day weekend. Was very busy. Bar was crowded and noisy. The old fashions were very good. Took about an hour to get seated in the dining room. Dining room was nice, quiet, and has a great view. While I'm not a big prime rib fan I did order it and it was as good as any prime rib I've ever had. Salad bar had a very good selection. Look forward to going back here when in the area.

The food is out of this world! We have eaten here too many times to count since the new ownership In July! The pulled pork & ribs are smoked to absolute perfection! The homemade bbq sauces are finger lickn good & the rest of the menu leaves ya wanting to come back to do it all over again! It's scrumptious! This is exactly what the Northwoods needed!
