We returned to Crested Butte after a 20 + year absence to discover that our favorite small restaurant was still in business and still excellent. " Locals" had mentioned to us the skimpy portion size but we experienced none of that and enjoyed Large meat servings cooked to perfection.

Third Bowl is truly homemade ice cream, made from scratch, in small batches, right here in our shop!
Tough time choosing between a dark chocolate, blood orange ice cream (sample was heavenly) or the raspberry lemonade sorbet! Went with the sorbet and was very pleased. This little ice cream shop is upstairs and not that easy to find but well worth the effort!!

We were directed to this small establishment for coffee during our visit to Crested Butte, and we were happy to find it. The staff was very friendly and made us fee welcomed. The place is small with only a couple of tables inside but with places to sit outside. We will return for coffee there when we come back for ski season.

First Ascent Coffee Roasters roasts the finest single-origin coffees, and produces their own Hand-Crafted Instant Coffee.
Smells great, but... wow. Try to order a coffee, and you'll get hit with the pretension of the many choices of how to make the coffee and the many sweet or bitter notes you may want in your brew (just a soupçon of snobbery with that, perhaps?). Also...you'll wait a looong time for it to be handcrafted.
Equal or better espresso drinks at Camp 4 Coffee down the street and around the corner. (And you'll suffer a longer line there, too, which does say something about relative popularity.)

We rocked up thinking we'd only have one cocktail
each with a shared appetiser. We stayed on for another cocktail each plus two appetisers!!!! Enjoyed the cocktails the sweet potato chip dish, in particular. We were very appreciative of the suggestions from our waitress. Total cost was $83 excluding tip.

You can't go wrong with healthy and delicious. We really enjoyed our breakfast at The Guild Café. My husband is a coffee snob and was very impressed with the mocha. I loved my hot chocolate and fresh squeezed orange juice. I had the deconstructed egg and sausage breakfast burrito (no tortilla), which was excellent. My husband enjoyed his pastrami sandwich. We also shared a coconut macaroon. Portions were just the right size.

We also offer chocolate and vanilla soft serve ice cream in a cup, cake cone and homemade waffle cone. Add a topping to your cup or waffle cone to make it your own creation! Order donuts online through our website for your event, birthday or any other occasion then pickup when they're ready! Super easy and no waiting in line.
What a fun place! Went here in early March and stopped here after dinner one night. I got 2 of the Homer and 2 Nutella-licious. My husband got 4 of the Pucker Up. We both really enjoyed our mini donuts, and it was fun watching them be made.
The only downside is we smelled of grease after leaving--in our clothes and hair. That was not fun, but the donuts were tasty enough to make up for it. Next time, I would just place my order and wait outside. :)

Providing fresh, fast, friendly eats with a smile
Went here when we were in Crested Butte in early March. It's a pretty decent restaurant. Not the best Mexican I've ever had, but ok for Colorado. The tamales were decent. I had the green chili and cheese tamales and my husband had the red chili and pork ones. The tamales were not in a husk, which was a little disappointing, especially because the online menu says they do.
Anyway, a solid 3 stars, for the good tamales.

We've moved to a huge new space at 303 Elk Ave right down town. Same great pizza and atmosphere and much shorter wait times (we've tripled our pizza making capacity! Dining at the Stash is an experience for all the senses, one to be enjoyed to the fullest. We’re not trying to get you in and out as quickly as possible. We’re trying to create a truly memorable dining experience for you, one that stays with you forever.
This was recommended to us by some locals and it was really good! The atmosphere is a funky spot which made it even more fun. The salad appetizer was fresh and so is the salad bar. The pizza is tasty with all fresh ingredients!
Sidenote: one of our party members got a gluten free pizza with vegan cheese and it was pretty disappointing. He said that the gluten free crust was pretty boring!

Our group of nine enjoyed a terrific meal. Great waitress. Ample portion sizes (we all got two meals out of our serving) at reasonable prices. I would recommend a reservation if you have a group and specific time you want to eat. Full bar. Great appetizers. The group ordered a variety from sesame chicken, drunken noodles, sizzling platter, teriyaki platter and chicken/shrimp fried rice. Everyone was pleased with their choice. It was a bit noisy for our group to hear each other but otherwise a memorable evening. We will be back!
