Council Bluffs is a city in and the county seat of Pottawattamie County, Iowa, United States. The city is the most populous in Southwest Iowa, and a principal city in the Omaha–Council Bluffs metropolitan area. It is located on the east bank of the Missouri River, across from Omaha, Nebraska. Council Bluffs was known, until at least 1853, as Kanesville. It was the historic starting point of the Mormon Trail. Kanesville is also the northernmost anchor town of the other emigrant trails, since there was a steam powered boat to ferry their wagons, and cattle, across the Missouri River.

We walked in to Orsi's and were going to leave due to a lack of seating. We were informed they had tables to set up so we stayed. WOW! This was an unbelieveable experience. After ordering our pizza we got some bread, salami and swiss cheese for later. Talked with everyone behind the counter for 20 minutes about all kinds of interesting things and ate some if the best pizza of my life. DO NOT MISS THIS. There will be full seating this summer so NO EXCUSES

Texas Roadhouse is a steak restaurant providing legendary food with legendary service. Texas Roadhouse specializes in hand-cut steaks, fresh-baked bread, fall-off-the-bone-ribs, and made-from-scratch sides. We also serve ice cold beer and legendary margaritas. Treat your family and friends to a night at Texas Roadhouse.
Good food. Good drinks. Good service. Fair prices. Not much else to say. The Texas Roadhouse has become a favorite chain of my wife and me because of consistency at a Hugh level.

We stopped here for dessert. It was snowy and cold yet there was a decent crowd there. We enjoyed the ice cream and the service was good. We liked the decor and seating, especially all the antiques displayed.
We will stop here again when we are in the area, especially next summer!

First this place has been around for years! It is basically a historic landmark of Council Bluffs Iowa. Second they serve amazing ice cream and even food. There is nothing like a well made ice cream sundae on a hot summer day! I highly recommend going to this place.

Everytime, we go to Block 16, we experience a line and parking challenges. The food is worth both. Being a popular place, there is always customer entertainment while you wait. I had the veggie wrap and it was simple naan shell with veggies, slaw and a few fries in it, delcious sauce that was filling and so good. I wanted an order of pantene ,so the fries helped me with that craving. My guest had the crab rangoon hot dog. I never eat hot dogs, but was convinced after some coaxing to have a bite. Wierd, but I liked the flavors. This menu is unique, priced right and served quickly.

If you want a down home, family cafe with great comfort food at reasonable prices, go no further. Downtown but only a short detour from I-29. Soups are homemade and awesome. Daily specials. Great sandwiches. Closes at 2:00 PM.

The meal was good but when I ordered the meal I asked for utensils, steak sauce, salt and salad dressing. None came with the delivery service. I called and spoke to the manager who said if you are at a hotel they have utensils. He said what can I do about it now. This was probably the worst type of Manager you could ask for. I will not go back. It’s sad the food was good but no management.

In town for business. We went here for a business dinner. The food was amazing and the views made the experience even better. Will return if even in Council Bluff again.

Simple straight forward diner food....no frills, no fuss but service is good and food is reasonably priced and plentiful. The wait for a table seems constant....quite the variety of clientele too.
