I had the New York Strip, my husband had the Texas T-Bone, teens had Baby back ribs - yummy! We came to Texas to visit during the holidays and we couldn't leave without having a taste of Texas. It's a moderately priced steakhouse. Excellent service and food.
Highly recommended.

I’ve had my fair share of barbecue but wow, Hard Eight tops them all. You can smell the barbecue from the moment you pull into the parking lot. There are plenty of options for meats. I went with the brisket and bacon wrapped shrimp. The shrimp had a good kick, while the brisket was tender and juicy. The fried okra was a perfect side. Beans were free.
The only knock against this restaurant is that the meat is sold by the pound so it can be difficult to judge what the total will be for your meal. Nevertheless, the quality of the meat far surpasses the small inconvenience.

Kitchen, craft coffee and scratch bakery. Come in, unplug, enjoy.
We have enjoyed many yummy desserts here in the past but have never tried the chocolate ganache cake. I am not typically a chocolate fan but WOW! Will definitely buy this again!

Liberation is a new coffee spot here, great for meeting friends. It's larger inside than you would think, but warm and inviting. They have a few baked goods made fresh by the delicious local bakery Zenzero. My friend and I enjoyed it as an easy place to meet, right off 121, with good iced tea and scones.

I will always be partial to the original Anamia's from 25 yrs ago, when it was a hole in the wall, but this 2nd is always reliable. I am among those who hated the renovation they did last year to "modernize" their design. The oddly modern light fixtures with bright LED bulbs are not good! I know they got enough complaints about ruining the bar's atmosphere, that they at least repainted that and put back in softer lighting. Lost charm withstanding, the food is still good and the service always excellent. Their fajita meat is the best there is--not fat at all and tasty. My favorite is the (half order) of beef fajita nachos--delicious. Love their queso, guac and cheese enchiladas, as well. Great chips and salsa also. They now have like 5 locations in DFW, and this one fills up fast on a Friday night. Get there before 6 p.m. if you don't want to have to wait half and hour or more.

We stopped in because we recognized the chain from California. The restaurant wasn't crowded when we arrived so have no idea why our orders took so long to arrive. Once we had our food it was great and exactly as we expected. Love the pizookies!

Pizzeria Napoletana
We found this place via Instagram (my absolute fave) and were we ever impressed! We ended up with their lunch special (Lewisville location) $10 incl. full size indiv pizza, salad of your choice plus drink! It was absolutely amazing! The crust was light, with an added crunch! Be sure to order their Nutella dessert pizza-to die for!

Chicken and Waffles are one of my favorite brunch entree's and they did them right. Four Belgian waffles with two breaded chicken pieces and syrup. They also have an interesting selection of drinks (with alcohol) along with your standard Mimosa's and Bloody Mary's.

My family has lived in Lewisville for 24 years, and this was our FIRST visit to Alfredo's. We discovered that it first opened just over 30 years ago while talking to its owner who personally greeted us. Having lived here for so long, we have seen restaurants come and go, yet this one which we had never visited before still hangs in there. We discovered why; the food is delicious! The owner cherishes her establishment, her employees, and family and this directly reflects upon how she serves her customers. They are very important to her. My wife is not the biggest fan of Italian food, so after letting the owner know she prefers Asian food, the owner made the recommendation of Linguine with white clam sauce. My wife loved it! My son and I had different dishes, and we too loved them. Needless to say we'll be back. We discovered why it has lasted over 30 years!

Black Walnut Cafe is a contemporary American fast casual concept that appeals to everyone. Whether you want an eggs Benedict, coffee, dessert, martini, a hand crafted sandwich, certified Angus pot roast or an Asian tuna salad, we have it all.
We've eaten at this location a half dozen times. We keep coming back because it's the halfway point between our families. The atmosphere here is nicely done. I would say there are three different styles in one place. Combine a bar, a coffee shop and a fast casual restaurant and you have Black Walnut.
Upon entering the restaurant, you pick up a menu and proceed to the back of the room. You will see an order counter often with a line of people. It takes quite a bit of time to get through the line. To the left of the order counter is a bar area complete with beers on tap, mixed drinks and spirits. It looks and feels like a bar. The front end of the bar has a coffee shop and ice cream counter. If you want to skip the food portion, you can head right to the bar and order drinks there. Seating for dinners is on the right. It's elegant and well done.
My biggest issue with Black Walnut is their inability to pick up dishes. Every visit there are always tables and booths covered with dirty dishes. At first, I thought it was a fluke, but after 6+ visits, it's the norm. During this visit I decided to watch the dirty tables. The employees busing the tables engaged in more goofing around than working. The place was not busy. I saw more standing and talking than working.
The food is average casual dining. The sandwiches are usually what I order. I enjoy them. This visit we had chili, egg omelette, and salad. They did the job, but none of us were overly excited about our meal. When you add the dirty dishes on the table it makes for an average visit.
