Trails End is a full service family restaurant featuring terrific food at reasonable prices. We offer everything from Crab Legs and Steaks to Wings and Burgers. Kids Menu, Full Bar, casual atmosphere.
We went here while traveling this summer. We were in this area for three nights. We ate here on our first night and enjoyed the meal so much we returned on our last night in the area. The homemade soups are delicious. The prime rib, shepard's pie and fettuccine with shrimp was not disappointing. It is a great restaurant with generous portions and a staff that is delightful. Great place to go when in this area.

What a great place to eat & shop. We ate here several days for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. Friendly staff, great food at great prices. Can also view Amish furniture and feed the goats. We also had great soft-serve ice cream!

- We waited more than half an hour for the food (2 sandwiches), yet the table that order after us got the food before us. - A very young kid cried all the time! - Not a very good experience over all + Pretty decent...MoreThank you for bringing this to our attention. We are sorry that you did not experience the level of service and attention that our guests have come to expect.

This restaurant has had other name(s) in the past, so I knew the atmosphere. And it did not disappoint. In fact, it's even better with some added lighting and landscaping. Very, very comfortable. The service was excellent. Very friendly and timely. The food was good. It tasted good. Some of it is a little different than what we're used to in terms of how it is made. But, it tasted good and that's what counts, eh? We'll go back. I don't think you, the reader of this review, will be disappointed in any way. In fact, you might even than us.

Stopped here now that it's the off season. We enjoyed the outdoor seating. Choose the table under the roof. Quiet! Nice atmosphere for a meal. I asked my wife, "How is your hamburger?" She said, "Okay, but I've had better." Those were the exact words I was thinking about my hot dog. The young lady who took our order could use an infusion of personality. We'll stop here again, but without jump up-and-down enthusiasm.

While venturing down thru the mountain, forested area of Pa., is this place on a corner a major intersection. The outside has an option for walk up service for ice cream and alike. Here we sampled their soft-serve, the menu is quite extensive, no doubt being an out-growth of a eat-in diner. There's little to remark on this end, service was std., the soft-serve was also std. Nevertheless, is you do venture out into the this area, here is a place, perhaps one of a few you may consider.

Family-operated inn with farm-to-forest, made-from-scratch foods, small batch liquors, and fine wines. Seasonal foods menu with focus on organic & sustainable food sourcing. Vegetarian and gluten-free options available. Child menu options upon request. Reservations recommended.
We've been going there for years usually around June and rent Black Bear Cabin # 4. The cabins have lots of amenities, T.V., y-fi., well equipped kitchen and a great back porch. These four cabins are run by Gateway Lodge so make your reservations there....MoreThank you for your comments! Happy to have you return this summer!

This Inn is a bit remote, but worth the effort. It's hometown cooking with a small menu but enough selection for most people. I would recommend it if you are in the area.

If you're staying in the Cook Forest area or just driving through this little place is worth a stop.
The fare is tasty, reasonably priced, and the portions are definitely filling.
If you're not taking it to go eating outside at a handful of picnic tables is your only option besides dining in your vehicle.
The staff was friendly and polite and the area has a pleasant atmosphere to dine in. I would say their Redneck Egg Roll, which has a photo included. This little delight is stuffed with provolone cheese, coleslaw, and pulled pork then fried. It's a treat you do not want to pass up.
Their only drawback to this place is if you're a sauce fanatic. Most of Copney's sauces had a sweet element. This isn't your place for a smokey sauce.

We found this place through our distant family who lives in the area, "Lynda with a y" and her husband "Merchant Bob". This is a nice eatery located out in the woods 1 block west of Rt 36 in Sigel, PA. There is not much else in the way of food in the general area on this main north south thruway so this place is an added bonus! They have draft beer, pizza, stromboli, calzone, sandwiches on homemade hamburger buns (!), subs, salads, sides, … what’s not to like! The large Stromboli is LARGE, enough for 2 people. The cheeseburger is on a homemade bun and tastes just like a cheeseburger sub and I highly recommend it. The place has a large bar with multiple TVs for sports, plenty of tables, and a very friendly owner. It was so good we made it a point to eat here on our return trip through the town on the way home. Try it out.
