This is a family owned business. The owner has developed his own rub and sauce. The sauce is available in three degrees of intensity. The pulled pork is delicious. They offer "express" lunch deals that are very quick for those with limited time. Dining room is not very large, but will seat several. I highly recommend the macaroni & cheese and the scalloped potatoes. They also have hand-dipped ice cream. Restaurant is located about 1/2 block from the Historic Whitewater Railroad Depot; a nice treat for the kids when you visit Thomas the Tank or Polar Express. Rip's (names for owner Ripberger) has been recognized nationally for their BBQ. This is a must if you are visiting Connersville.

Brian's Book Store and Coffee Bar is a perfect example of a locally owned small business that can be successful by meeting the needs of the community. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and wonderful baked goods are available in a quaint old bar setting...complete with the historic bar! There are regular and specialty coffees and amazing home baked goodies to fill any desire. All the employees are friendly and helpful. Great place to meet friends and just enjoy the atmosphere of the historic downtown in a small midwest town. Located right across from the Fayette County Courthouse!

Family owned drive-in hamburger place that goes back 50 years and hasn't changed much. The days of cruising through are gone, but they do have a car show a couple times a month for nostalgia. Burger baskets good with a few different choices.

Excellent food, large portions all for a fair price. Staff are very friendly. Very nice atmosphere. This is a popular restaurant so go early if you don't like crowds. Even when they're busy, service is good.

We have found that Southern Style Family Dining provides good food, reasonable prices and excellent service. The staff is attentive and seems to really care that you enjoy your visit. The food is fresh and flavorful and portion size is good...not huge and not tiny, just good. The restaurant is clean and well maintained and inviting. This stop is well worth the trip.

Had never been to Connersville and was headed to Maggie's for a breakfast meeting. When we were settled in I ordered "3 pancakes and bacon". Our waitress looked at me a bit surprised and said "are you sure?". She told me they were "big" and advised maybe 2 would be enough. I was surprised but said "ok". They hardly fit on the plate! And they were awesome. An excellent local treat. Just keep in mind that it is cash only.

This was my childhood hang out on the weekend. I have since moved away. I wanted my wife to see where I was from and eat some of my favorite places growing up. She got the beef boat sandwich and I got a extra large pepperoni and sausage pizza. It was just as good as I remember it as a child. Love, love, love this place!!!!!

There is a consistency problem here....the same dish doesn't always get prepared the same way. For example, the size of tofu squares in #109 changes...as does the amount of tofu, the amount of broccoli....and even the taste. Also, sometimes the fried rice has peas and carrots...and sometimes it doesn't. This has happened with some other dishes as well. The food is generally good...but sometimes a dish is really good once and "just ok" on other occasions. However, as a whole...they are the best Asian place in Conncersville, IMO.

The staff are great, and the kitchen did a wonderful job on all types of breakfast foods. Plan 40 minutes for a meal, unless you're a local and they know what you want before you walk in. Coffee was surprisingly smooth for a cafe. Definitely recommended anytime you're in the area!
