I don't get the number one rating for Christiansburg on trip advisor. The barbeque is average, the sides are average, the bread is average. Sysco truck fare. Don't get me wrong, the food is adequate and will fill a void, but don't walk in expecting creative sauces, and pit-master caliber pork because this is NOT the place for that. The worst experience was when we had this catered for an event at work The buns we received looked like the great value brand from Wal-mart which are scarcely dinner roll sized and will barely stand up to a dollop of meat and a little sauce. Judge for yourself, but this wouldn't be my number one restaurant for the greater Christiansburg area.

Texas Roadhouse is a steak restaurant providing legendary food with legendary service. Texas Roadhouse specializes in hand-cut steaks, fresh-baked bread, fall-off-the-bone-ribs, and made-from-scratch sides. We also serve ice cold beer and legendary margaritas. Treat your family and friends to a night at Texas Roadhouse.
Visited when taking our son to VA Tech as a new freshmen. We did call ahead seating and had a 5 minute wait Steaks, side dishes, and rolls were great. Prices are better than Outback and families are welcome. Laid back with a good location. Sure this is a standard chain, but good food, good prices, good service, and not long waits for a table of your food, will be a frequent stop for the next few years!

The Farmhouse is proud to return to the New River Valley under new ownership and management. The Farmhouse is a higher-end casual dining restaurant that features Certified Angus Beef steaks and Fresh Premium Seafood. The Farmhouse features several different types of seating: private booths in the restaurant, a full lounge and bar with an extensive selection of beer, wine, and spirits, as well as a brand new courtyard outside. A portion of the courtyard is enclosed and heated during the winter time so drinking and dining is available outdoors year round! Our Banquet Hall and Private spaces are equipped to accommodate anything from small business meetings and family gatherings to full scale wedding receptions, rehearsals, and graduations. Come join us here at The Farmhouse where we are so much more than just a restaurant!
Stopped in for an early Saturday dinner.
We were seated promptly and had an outstanding waiter (Jake?) who really looked after us. Prime rib was a bit disappointing - a little tooo much fat - but the baked potato was one of the best I've ever had. Prices seemed a bit high for the area.

On my way to Alabama I needed fuel up for breakfast and Cracker Barrel never disappoints.
Since I was on a tight deadline I was delighted to be created by almost everyone but the cook and dishwasher—all with a welcoming smile.
I was immediately seated and ordered biscuits, sawmill gravy and extra crispy bacon along with a large milk and water. The biscuits were the best! Piping hot from the oven, well formed unlike several other breakfast chains biscuits. The sawmill gravy was hot and thick which I promptly smothered those wonderful biscuits with and the proceeded to crumble my e tea crispy bacon on top. As always I had to buy a unique vintage bottled soft drink for the road trip and the hostess offered a “to-go” cup filled with ice for my soft drink.
If you are traveling, I highly recommend getting a book on CD that can be rented by the week and it sure does make the trip go by faster than hearing the same songs repeated every hour or so. You can’t beat the price either as it’s under $4.00 a week and there’s always a Cracker Barrel among the way to return it to when your finished.

The Christiansburg-based Blackstone Grill combines the taste of fine dining in a relaxed, modern-bistro style atmosphere. Here, elegance abides as great food reigns supreme. Come for the decadent drinks at the bar, or enjoy some of the best dishes around. From the freshest catches to the chef’s finest flavors, you’ll want to return again and again to relive the experience.
Very nice. Courteous, quick, professional service. Nice decor. Varied menu to chose from. Prices can be a bit high, but the food is worth it. Our group had the ribeye, Mahi Mahi and crab cakes. Wonderful. No complaints. Had Blackstone cheesecake and pecan pie for dessert. Perfect. Easy off 460 and I-81. Close to New River Valley Mall I'd go again.

Ate at El Bronco recently on a Sunday afternoon with our two grandkids and sone & daughter-in-law. We were very impressed with the restaurant. There is a large menu selection for adults and reasonable choices for kids. Service was fast & courteous and the food was very good. Our waitress stopped back several times to see if we need anything.
The kids meals were delivered first, which was great for our hungry little ones. Our fajitas meals were steaming hot when served — the iron skills were still hot when we finished. Portions were generous. We had leftovers to take home with us. We could have gotten one kids order to split.
We can personally attest to Fajita La Casa, Burrito Fajita Texano, Taco Asada, Vegetarian Fajitas, and Kids chicken & rice. Basically everything we ordered was very good. For those dishes that included shrimp, it was perfectly cooked, moist and tender!
We had their regular margaritas which were great. There was a pleasant atmosphere within the restaurant with Mexican music playing at a reasonable volume in the background.
I highly recommend El Bronco. I know I’ll be coming back on my next visit to Christiansburg!

We had an early dinner, late lunch at The Summit Restaurant in Christiansburg, Virginia. The Summit is a gem that is tucked away from other restaurants in the area. The food was so delicious and fresh.
I had the Salmon with green beans and black/white rice with a wine sauce. Yummy! The salmon was fresh and cooked to perfection. The dinner rolls were hot, delicious and fresh.
My wife had the chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes. I had a taste of her potatoes & Chicken and it was very delicious.
The pumpkin soup was also tasty.
We both had dessert and the lemon cake was out of this world.
Reservations are recommended but it never hurts to stop in or give them a call. You will love this restaurant. We did!

This was our first dinner visit at O'Charley's (usually have lunch there). This is a hidden treasure! The prime rib was prepared as desired, the filet tender, those dinner rolls indescribable!. Our waitress took good care of us and the manager made a point of coming by to see how our dining was going. We will surely return after this experience.
