Bills Creek Rd.approx. one mile turn left on Buffalo Creek Road. 1/2 mile turn left on Whitney Blvd. Located below Apple Valley Market. A popular restaurant for locals and tourists for the past 10 years. Our family business reopens at a new/old location on Friday,July 1st. Serving our Italian/American family recipes and the best pizza in the valley. We look forward to serve you and look forward for your comments.
We visited because we got into our room pretty late and didn't want to have to go far to eat. We found this place because it was rated pretty high on a food review site.
It is kinda hard to find. It's behind & kinda under the little store out front. Look for the parking lot that's down a level.
The food was ok. We're not really into thin crust pizza and this was pretty thin. Our ceasar salad was basically leaves with a very small amount of cheese and a few basic tiny croutons thrown in. It tasted fresh but at $11.95 I pretty much felt ripped off with that. We got the cheese bread and it was actually my favorite part of the meal. Just flat bread covered in melted cheese.
It was all decent food but a little high priced for what we got. I guess they have a corner on the market in that location.
The store up above seemed to carry a lot of items that were somewhat over priced but convenient to have nearby.

Start the day off right with one of our signature biscuits, which are named after the places folks love to visit in the region. Whether you want a Bearwallow Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit or a savory Florence Preserve Biscuits, we have something for you every Saturday and Sunday. During lunch, enjoy a local grassfed burger, grilled sandwiches, salads and fresh baked fruit cobblers at this down-to-earth diner located at the entrance to Chimney Rock State Park. Relax outdoors on the riverside deck with a great view of Chimney Rock and the Rocky Broad River rushing by. Try one of the local craft brews or sip on a glass of wine. Check out the memorabilia of the "Rock" covering the walls for a glimpse of what life was like here over the past 100 years.
We stopped there for lunch before visiting the park, and this was a good decision. You pick your table, look at the menu, and order your food at the counter. Everything is managed pretty smoothly, and it doesn't take too long for your food to...MoreSo glad you enjoyed your burger! I'll pass this along to our staff. They love getting feedback from the customers. Thanks again for the review. Happy holidays!

La Strada is a romantic Italian restaurant overlooking beautiful Lake Lure. Come visit us and surround yourself with plush mountains and a picturesque lake while you dine on our elevated covered terrace. Lake Lure received its name because it was said that the scenery and peacefulness lured you back time after time. We hope our rich family traditions and vintage recipes will have the same affect. In 1974 La Strada opened the first of several locations in Charlotte, North Carolina. Starting as a small family business specializing in New York style brick oven pizza and traditional Italian cuisine; word quickly spread about the great food and La Strada became a Charlotte favorite. After over 35 years of serving great food in Charlotte, La Strada and the original family members came to Lake Lure with their family recipes offering one of the most varied and unique menus in the area. There’s something special for everyone!
My wife and I have never been disappointed dining at La Strada. Whenever we visit Lake Lure from Charleston, we enjoy a delicious plate of spaghetti with Italian sausage, peppers; and onions. The homemade sauce has the right touch of tomato and spices, and the wait staff is always accommodating with. Any special requests. This is a visit you can’t go wrong with. Highly recommended!

Wow what a selection of burgers. Moderate prices for great food with wonderful views out back if the weather allows. Suggest checking on wait times when you get to Chimney Rock and look around if a longer wait.

My husband & I and another couple went to dinner on a Saturday night in October. Our server, who was also the manager, explained that they were in a transition period & were making changes to their menu, so that explained the printed paper menu. The restaurant wasn't overly busy, but I think it was understaffed because we had to refill our water glasses from the water in the lobby. I ordered the Shrimp & Grits as an appetizer & so did my friend. We both agreed that it didn't have any taste. The gentleman of the other couple said that his pork chop was flavorful, but a bit tough. This is a fine dining restaurant with the average entree of around $25 and I think it has potential and we might have just gotten them on an off night. I would be willing to try it again once they get re-established.

Lovely Inn in Chimney Rock, we made reservations for the Thanksgiving Buffet. Dinner was at 4:30, we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated and then wait awhile to be able to go to buffet to get our meal. The Turkey, macaroni and cheese,...MoreThank you for your review.
