My husband and I love coming to Cutlass. It is just like being in Jamaica (we went a year ago) and the food + service at Cutlass is great. I always get the same thing because I love the jerk chicken, green beans, and plantains so much! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The Egg Bistro is an independently owned neighborhood bistro that provides fresh, innovative food in a hip, family environment.
We went there on a Groupon for dinner. I got a Mediterranean pasta dish and it was great. The other people in my party were happy with their food. Looked like they had some great drink specials. Will definitely go again. We've been there for...MoreThank you so much for the amazing feedback and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Excellent local seafood place.
I have traveled by this restaurant, but never knew anything about it. My husband and friends had been there and then on a Sunday afternoon, I went also. A hidden treasure in Chesapeake. The food and selections were great. I am looking forward to going again or getting something to go.

A 3 1/2 is more accurate. This local eatery is located in a small strip shopping center and appears to cater mostly to locals. I ordered the grilled salmon ($18.99) which was slightly overdone but otherwise fine. Their coleslaw was excellent and the baked potato...MoreThank you for giving us a try. God bless

So your host says, "We're going to this great Mexican place. It's in a gas station." Right up there with 7-11 sushi, right?
But we've never taken anyone there who didn't love the freshly-prepared food ("We don't even own a can opener", the sign says), large portions, and very fair prices. We eat in or get carry-out an average of twice a month and have had "BurPer" cater two events. Those were both great experiences too.
I guess I do have three minor complaints: the ice tea seems to run out frequently; the chips are sometimes perfect and sometimes on the way-greasy side; and the only restroom on site is on the gas station side. Just don't. Really.
Oh, and unless you really like hot stuff, do be careful of the green salsa. It's pretty lethal!
Bottom line: locals know and love this place. It's well worth a try!

I have been there 4 times over the past several months. The first visit was outstanding. Subsequent visits have been average at best. This is an upscale Mexican restaurant and the prices are generally a little higher than your average Mexican restaurant. I experienced incorrect...MoreThank you for the feedback. Our friends had recommended this restaurant. They had been stationed in Naples and said it was true Napoli style. It was incredible brick oven pizza. The flavors were amazing. We will gladly return.

Two brothers had an idea. Open a restaurant and give people the home cooking they want with the service they deserve. That’s all we had to go on. Our business plan so to speak. Not corporate. Not rigid. Just a place where a family can enjoy themselves and leave with a smile. This awesome and super complexTM business plan led to the opening of our Lynnhaven Parkway Pop’s Diner Co. location in 2005. With the great support of the community and our customers we opened our second location on Greenbrier Parkway in 2009. It all started when our father, Pops as we call him, would cook breakfast for us every Sunday morning without exception. To our horror, we found out that some of our friends and acquaintances weren’t as lucky! They didn’t get to enjoy grilled sausages, fresh cut homefries, and buttered biscuits every Sunday. They would go to a corporate breakfast and eat cold eggs, soggy pancakes, and get service with an attitude. So being the humanitarians and general all around good guys that we are, we decided to form our above mentioned awesome and super complexTM business plan. That’s our story and we’re sticking to it. Our diner is a place of no pretensions, where locals hang out, chat with others, watch the staff have fun and have a great meal - the best breakfast in Virginia Beach. It's the perfect place to bring out-of-town visitors. They'll get a real home cooking experience—great omelets, grilled sandwiches, homemade specials, in a clean and family friendly atmosphere. The best diner in Hampton Roads. So come join us for a meal and see why our community voted us the “Best of the Beach”.
Wife had a pancake breakfast combo and a mimosa, I had corn chowder and a Reuben sandwich. Service and the food was good.
