My wife and I had had breakfast here in the past and had really enjoyed it, but this time, not so much. I have to say that the buttermilk pancakes were awesome and the sausage was ok, but my wife's Omelete (their special that morning--basil, tomato, and cheese ) wasn't great. The thing that was really lacking was the service. We had to wait for the coffee, with no refills until we physically took our cups up to ask. We won't return ant time soon!

We stopped for lunch. It is a small town and we were rewarded with a nice, comfort food lunch. It's an older building and interior. Despite the appearance, the staff was super and made great recommendations on dishes to select. The food, while comfort food, was well prepared and tasty. Well worth the stop.

I have ate at Antonio's Pizza & Pasta several times over the years on business and pleasure trips. I really like their pizzas and other menu choices! The wait staff is friendly and accommodating! I recommend Antonio's to anyone traveling through Challis, ID!

After an active day of enjoying nature’s wonders, stop in the Challis Lodge & Lounge for a bite to eat, a cold drink, and a place to rest. The restaurant features a hearty menu highlighted by their delicious hand-cut steaks, as well as a full service bar. The motel houses eighteen rooms and offers the amenities of home for a reasonable price. For down-home hospitality and service the Challis Lodge & Lounge is your best bet. Please note that due to current smoking laws in Idaho, no one under 21 is allowed in the restaurant and bar area.
Good steak. Small salad bar. Yummy baked potatoes. Multiple choices of beer.
And.... An extremely kind and friendly waitress.
Challis is a super small town so not many choices of places to eat. This place had the most cars - so that's why we came in.
We encountered mostly local residents eating here (we were here late September) - sort of says it all.

If you like truly wonderful homemade food, great service, fun hosts, and a quirky atmosphere, you need to come here! This place rocks. The only downside is that's it's not in my backyard - I would come here EVERYDAY.

This brewery is a convenient place to stop for a nice craft brew with a burger or our favorite, the nachos. Though located away from Main Street in our tiny town that's just a hop, skip and jump, and it's next to the two grocery markets. The dining menu is pretty limited with emphasis being the beer offerings. Have gone with the brown (dark) brew but a stout is also available; haven't tried any others brews.

Great hamburgers, steaks, homemade soups and pies. Several fresh salads on the menu, along with our salad bar. We now serve breakfast ALL DAY! Restaurant is newly remodeled and looks great.
Stopped in for dinner and found a friendly and attentive wait staff. One of the side dish options was a trip to the salad bar and I should have perused it prior to ordering. Several of the selections were stale or dried out including much...MoreWe aplogise for the salad bar not being good. We have changed that sence your visit. We are pleased that are wait staff was friendly Have a wonderful day

We stopped here by chance while exploring Idaho. We're glad we stopped. Of course we had burgers and milkshake (vanilla). Both were yummy. The place was quite busy. More so than I would have thought, but there was a marathon race going on so I suspect that a lot more people than usual were around. The burges (and everything else) is cooked to order, fresh and hot.

First place you come to entering the Challis area. There's a nice Deli with inside and outside seating and friendly staff. Made to order sandwiches are fresh and delicious! Loved the pulled pork with potato chips. C-store, fuel, and nice restrooms make it an all-in-one stop. It's also right across from the Interpretive Center museum.
