Try to get the younger girls to help you. The older ones are kind of crabby and snippy. The iced caramel macchiato was definitely a "5" The building is really amazing and decorated like an old fashioned coffee house you might find in a much bigger city.

Not a lot of seating, but most folks pick up their order and take with them. Hard working owners and employees who get up mega early in the morning to get their baking done. Full selection of pastries but their "platter" breakfast is my favorite with fresh baked biscuits, and home made sausage gravy. Go all the way with hash browns and eggs and it a manly meal.

We had dinner and breakfast here. The wait staff are attentive and pleasant, and the food is reasonably priced. This is a meat and potatoes establishment with many, if not most, items calorie and cholesterol laden. It appears to have been in business a long time and is popular with the locals.

We stopped in for dinner and tried two items recommended by our server. The Chicken Fried Chicken was overlooked and dry. The Grilled Chicken Salad was okay.
The dessert, Ice Cream Sundae with brownie bites, was excellent. The restaurant looks almost derelict from outside but is nicely decorated inside.
Among the choices in Chadron this may be your best option.

Simple and typical bar but the food is anything but ordinary bar food. From the homemade fried zucchini to the fresh onion rings and the ribeye, everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. The beer was ice cold but our waitress, Miranda, was very warm and friendly. We make an annual trip out this way every year but this is the first time we've stopped here for dinner. We'll be back!

Had a dinner here while staying at Holiday Inn Express in Chadron.
Staffs were friendly and courteous. Atmosphere was calm and polite. Interior décor was somewhat nostalgic.
Had Baby Back Ribs (seemed like "adult size") with BBQ sauce, side salad, dill pickle spear, dinner roll and iced tea. Tasty as expected.

Buffet was very reasonably priced with a very good selection and on $7.99. Kate, our waitress, who I'll nickname Sunshine made you so welcome. I'd definitely come back when in the area

We had the brakfast on a bagel and liked it, it is freshly prepared and the atmosphere is very nice - not a chain, you feel it. Coffee is good, yet not outstanding.

The China House has a surprisingly good hot buffet, and is an excellent value. Choices are limited, as authentic Asian ingredients are hard to obtain in rural Nebraska. I stopped in for Saturday dinner. The buffet had a couple of soups (hot & sour was tangy), egg rolls, several types of stir-fry and fried rice. All were hot and freshly prepared. The restaurant is family-run, and the staff were friendly and helpful about things to see and do in Chadron. The all-you-can-eat buffet was less than $10, and was good value. The restaurant is open for lunch (starting at 11:00am), and offers basically the same buffet at a lower price.

Ok I know it's fast food but wow I'm glad it was only a one time thing. The best thing here was the employees who were super great. The food not so much. The chips were stale and the cheese tasted worse than the stuff out of a can at a high school ball game.
