Just a couple of hours north of Las Vegas lies an oasis called Cedar City. Home to Southern Utah University, and close to a number of scenic national parks, this charming and compact city offers visitors a great home base for exploring the area. Golf, skiing, biking and other outdoor recreational activities abound. In the summer, mountain bikers flock to the Brian Head Peak Activity Center, for challenging runs and spectacular scenery. Also called the "Festival City," Cedar City plays host to a number of prestigious film, theater and art festivals throughout the year (the summer Shakespearean Festival is one of the more well-known fetes), making anytime a great time to visit.

Fantastic food (breakfast & lunch) coffee, pastries - can't say enough about this place. We had cup soup & 1/2 salad - portions huge. Prices great. Much homemade. Coffee drinks are yummy. I enjoyed an iced coffee. Look forward to finishing food!

Our mission is to provide our customers (our friends) with casual and fun dining experience with exceptional customer service and homemade fresh and creative food. Oh and a great selection of local micro brews & wine too!
Great food and atmosphere...very accommodating to our family with small children. The pizza was some of the best we have had.

We stopped for coffee and breakfast and I had the most delicious scone I've ever tasted! Real raspberries and white chocolate chips were folded into the dough. The girl gave us a sample of their chocolate chip pumpkin bread, which was also incredible. Our neighbors tell us that their sandwiches are also great. An excellent bakery in downtown Cedar City!
Stopped her for lunch wanting a special sandwich we get at a Great Harvest in another town. I guess they don't have consistent menus from location to location. This place was mostly just made to order, choose meat, bread, and standard condiments. Service was good because it was 2:30 in the afternoon, and we were the only ones there. Not sure how it would be at a busy lunch or dinner time.

This is an outdoor stand where the tables are under umbrellas. Excellent French pastries and salads. Very limited seating. Good passion fruit iced tea.

For several years now, I have collected the Starbucks City Mugs, which have been replaced with the You Are Here mugs. No matter where I travel, my goal is to always bring back a momentum of each Starbucks location I visit.
Here lately I have been having nothing but poor experiences with my local Starbucks locations. Feeling it an isolated incident, I try not to give up hope.
Well I set out on a road adventure traveling from California to Utah and back which took us through Arizona, along Route 66, Colorado; needless to say, a lot of Starbucks stops and several You Are Here mugs later.
My horrible encounter comes from this Cedar City Utah location at which two employees were so rude and their unwillingness to help so discombobulated.
I drove as fast as I could as the Starbucks app stated this location closed at 10:30PM. We arrived at 10:33PM and the doors were locked and you could see two employees inside just chatting up a storm. All the lights were on inside and one of the team members even had their headset on. We stood outside and they simply looked at us and ignored us. Seeing as one still had their headset on, we got back in the car and went through the drive thru.
This is now 10:36PM, they come on the speaker and we tell them we only need to get a You Are Here Mug, she then tells me that they are closed and they already removed the tills. I tell her I can pay with a starbucks card or a credit card, I don't need any coffee or beverages just the mug. I explain to her that we were en route back to California and that we collect the mugs. She then rudely says well there is nothing I can do about that. We are closed. Try again on another visit.
WOW, we were so shocked by that comment and the unwillingness to help. This brings me to my initial disappointment with this Starbucks location and has reminded me that perhaps Starbucks has gotten too big and the quality touches that have made Starbucks well Starbucks have been thrown out with the bathwater. Is it time that I perhaps join the bandwagon of so many other that are now choosing alternatives to Starbucks? Will my voice be heard?
You can't tell me, especially from someone who worked in retail as an Ops Mgr that you can close an entire store in 5 minutes. There is no way. If they wanted to actually help with very minimal effort on their part, they could have. They chose to be rude, they chose to be lazy and those chose not to be helpful and they chose not to uphold the values and processes that have made Starbucks what it is.

Cedar City's Chef Alfredo’s opened its doors to the community in December 2013. The first location in St. George, originally named Piccolo Mondo, was opened by Sicily's own Chef Alfredo Modica in 2011. Chef Alfredo invited Chef Gerardo Reyes to open a sister location in Cedar City. Since its opening, Chef Alfredo's has enjoyed great success thanks to our valued guests and has been privileged to provide food for many special events, including Christmas parties, birthdays, business meetings, family reunions, and more. We at Chef Alfredo's look forward to serving our community for many years to come!
Any time I find myself in, near or headed through Cedar City I make it a point to stop here. Despite the look from the outside (kinda strip-mall-ish) the atmosphere is great - you feel like you're in Italy! The servers are friendly, The food is delicious and menu is varied. The wine list is good and I appreciate the suggested pairings. I think the amount and quality of food is great for the price. Thanks for another great meal!

We ordered two pizzas. Both pizzas under cooked, the dough was mushy. They were not busy, just young kids working there nit knowing how to cook. Won’t go back.

I have eaten there 4 times. The sandwiches on homemade bagels are wonderful. I get a half with a sandwich and it’s a perfect amount of food. The desserts look wonderful but I’ve only tried that one so far. I haven’t tried the coffee drinks yet.

A steak and seafood house located 5 miles east of Cedar City on Highway 14. We have a rustic cabin atmospher in a beautiful canyon setting
The staff at Milts is always super freindly and cordial. The salad bar is always good the prime rib my wifes luvs and ibalways get the stake. The flavor i can say is always good but i think the quality of the stake could be better. The bread is hot and fresh and the sides are yummy as well

Had breakfast here this morning. Staff immediately greeted and seated us and brought coffee. Breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast was very good. The staff was attentive and all wore smiles. A great place to sit warm and cozy, watching the snowstorm out the big windows. And a special thank you to our waitress Jennifer.
