Welcome to the historic, award-winning Old Captiva House Restaurant, Gulf-front at the legendary, historic 'Tween Waters Island Resort & Spa. We invite you to sample our delicious New Florida cuisine, served with our gorgeous Captiva Island sunsets. Come, feast your eyes and your appetites tonight.
Old Captiva House was a favorite of ours. We made reservations to take our daughter and son-in-law for a special dinner on the porch. We had an 8:00 reservation. We were seated around 8:20...no one took out drink order for about 20 minutes...the drinks arrived around 15 minutes later and the waiter said he had to deliver desserts and he'd be right back. Another 20 minutes passed and I went to the hostess asking for our waiter. We ende dup paying for our drinks and leaving.

It was a true treat to find a starbucks on the Island. This one does not take mobile pay, and it can be slammed at certain hours - its a small store with a small staff.

I thought this place was going to be just a candy and ice cream shop but it's got more than that! My kids really enjoyed eating lunch here every day while we were enjoying the nearby waterslide pool. We loved the pizza, the cheeseburger sliders, and the french fries! Everyone that works there is very kind, polite, and helpful.

'You have to go here! We loved the vibe, staff friendly, helpful and attentive (and we had someone that was in training' not that you would have noticed.....the shrimp were to die for. I had a salad which was probably the tastiest I have ever had, my husband had the daily caught grouper baked in banana leaf which he said was divine...we had children, as with all of these local restaurant's, children's menu was fine, desert and drinks included with colouring; kids and parents happy! All helped by the amazing mojitos they serve!- don't forget to add passion fruit to one if you order, so tasty.

Typical beach shop with a small variety of ice cream and coffees. Cute, cozy and perfect if that is all you need.

This was our first time to Captiva so we tried the Sunshine Seafood cafe for breakfast one morning. What a great choice. Their eggs/omelettes were so good. Plenty of cheese and plenty of toppings and they were cooked just right. Our waitress was really friendly and she kept our drinks filled. She even gave us drinks to go, which was perfect for us since we were heading to the beach.
This restaurant is right across the street from the beach too so the view is pretty sweet!
We had a great time here talking, eating, and just enjoying our vacation. We'll definitely visit again when go back to Captiva.

Man! was I grateful that this place offered regular menu on Easter. no overpriced Easter buffet. The service was quick and friendly... on Sundays there is a very nice sounding gentleman who plays nice tunes on a guitar, very enjoyable atmosphere. I leave you with a photo of my yummy salmon eggs benedict

This restaurant is a must see. The food was outstanding and delicious. There was memorabilia from movie stars everywhere you looked. There was also a merry Christmas room. The deserts looked so good I didn’t know which one to pick and the servings were huge. Our waitress was so bubbly and friendly.
I highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

We were wandering through Sanibel and Captiva and stopped for lunch. Casual spot, 60’s vibe with 70’s music. Music was live, a nice surprise for a Monday lunch. Large beer selection on tap. We both had grouper sandwiches. Well made and a generous portion of fish. Very friendly staff, made for a pleasant leisurely lunch.

My family and I came here for lunch before our dolphin cruise. The restaurant had a unique atmosphere and views of the water. We could see some manatees swimming in the distance! Our server made us seem like we were an inconvenience. He barely talked to us, slammed food down and overall seemed grumpy. My partner and I tried to order the veggie sandwich with no cheese and he said it was impossible. The sandwiches were already pre-made..... Pretty gross for a sit down restaurant, how hard it is to whip together a veggie sandwich? We instead got the mixed green salad with balsamic dressing. It was very tasty though I have to say. They did offer sherbet for dessert which was also a welcome treat. This is a mediocre restaurant and one that I wouldn't come back to for food... maybe some drinks and a view!
