R & M Hoagie Shop has the best hoagies ever. I’ve been eating here since about when they opened. The Steak and Mushroom is my favorite. Many days the line for lunch is out the door.

I am always biased towards locally owned "mom and pop" restaurants and prefer them over chains. After reading the previous reviews of this restaurant I was curious if it could live up to its reputation. It did! My wife had one of the specials (short-ribs) and I had the shrimp and grits. The short-ribs were amazing and so large. The shrimp and grits were not a traditional recipe but I believe I liked them better. It was really hard to decide what to get on the menu. They had standard things like burgers but also fresh fish and other more interesting things. Highly recommended!

tl;dr: Food is delicious but the staff was disorganized and reservations don't seem to help the wait much.
Came with my girlfriend and her family to celebrate her birthday. This place is WILDLY popular -- perhaps TOO popular, as I'd made reservations for 7:30 and we weren't seated until around 8:15. I just wish we'd gotten some sort of acknowledgement or apology from the staff, or some items comped for our trouble.
Got some drinks at the bar while we waited. My Bourbon Apple Mule was very tasty but on the weak side. Girlfriend's Peppered With Piñas was delicious.
After we were finally seated, we got two appetizers, the smoked trout toast and the crab & shrimp au gratin, both of which were well-portioned and delicious.
For the main course, I got blackened swordfish and stone-ground cheese grits which were immaculate. Fish was perfectly flaky and tender, remoulade was tangy, and the grits were just amazing.
Girlfriend got miso-style yellowfin which was also fantastic. Miso broth was unusually sweet but tasty, and the yellowfin tuna was nearly raw (which was perfect) and extremely high quality.
Girlfriend's mom got herb-encrusted corvina, which was extremely, near inedibly dry. She also got the chipotle collards, which were bland as well.
On the whole though, the food was tasty. Just wish we hadn't spent so long waiting.

My husband made reservations here for my birthday. It's a great romantic place for dinner. Must try the grilled salmon. The staff is friendly. I suggest reservations, as it was busy the night we went.

A party of eight, each ordered a different dish and I must say I was really surprised to find duck breast on the special offering of the day. I had the crab cakes and caesar salad leading up to the main course and they were very good, I would have enjoyed fresh pepper rather than the store bought twist top that was on the table but only a minor detail. The sea scallops were very salty, the head chef came to our table and after some further sampling explained it was not the preparation but the raw item itself. Another dish was offered and prepared (the salmon) and it was done very well. Do take note that some of our group had looked at the menu via the internet and when asked about certain items were told they were no longer available and that the men on the net was more than a year out of date (including several brands of beer). OUr server was Zach, he was very professional and tolerant of our group, but did not smile a lot. It was very good and we will return soon.

A nice place located near shopping and theaters. The selections are ample and the quality is good. The restaurant is arranged with both large / open seating areas and then some with more intimate settings.

Yes, this is country cooking but nothing special. No frills, nothing you can't easily whip up at home including a Pillsbury biscuit. When prompted if they serve homemade biscuits, I was told "yes, we proof them here". That's code for we rise the premade dough. (I worked in a bakery for several years, you would be surprised what people believe). Anyway, there is a major difference between baked on the premises and made from scratch.
Service was unremarkable and the wait was just too long for the quality of the food. May I suggest First Watch or J. Christopher's? These breakfast joints serve something a little more interesting and you don't walk away feeling as if you could have done a better job in your own home kitchen. I overheard another patron say the cafe is under new ownership, so I may give it another try to check for any improvements with time. Stay tuned....

This family run restaurant is one of the best held secrets around. Enjoy spicy curry dishes, simple dumplings or try one of their more adventuresome offerings. The lunch specials monday thru friday are the best deals around. Great service, great food.

Good BBQ, good folks, and good times in Canton -- come be a part of the family!
I personally like Williamson Brothers Bar-B-Q, food is always hot, and prepared very well. The baby back ribs are some of the largest I've ever eaten, always take home some left overs. We're glad you've enjoyed your meals with us, Ronald! It's good to know you had enough ribs to take home with you too. Thanks for the support, and we hope to see you again! -The Williamson Brothers

Brooklyn Joe's is a family friendly restaurant specializing in authentic NY style pizza, high quality Italian/American cuisine, with an emphasis on value and excellent service.
We LOVE good pizza, especially NY pizza. I cannot believe all the good reviews I'm seeing. I thought the pizza was so mediocre I didn't even take the leftovers home. And I ALWAYS take home leftover pizza. We also found the prices to be very high, especially for a pizza place.
