For three generations, dining here is like coming home. Join us for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
We each had the Captain V's seafood platter. We both thoroughly enjoyed everything except the crab legs. Both styles of shrimp and the cod were excellent. My wife had a caramel shake and said it was great. I had the marionberry cobbler with ice cream and loved it. The only downside is that it could have easily served three or more.

Some folks thing it's hard to find but the locally roasted coffee is just the right thing for a morning pick me up. Kind of like a cross between Starbucks and Cheers. Great feel to the place.

Went here with a large group tonight. The service was amazing and honestly so was the food. After ordering all the meals came out within 20 minutes and they were pretty busy when we arrived.
I got the meatloaf, said it was their specialty. Honestly great meatloaf. They have a homemade jalapeño ketchup, I'm not a fan of ketchup but thought I would try it because of the jalapeño. Loved it on the meatloaf. How good was it, I bought 2 bottles on the way out the door.
Everyone at the table was extremely satisfied with their meals. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Dutch Brothers coffee is great. The staff at Dutch Bros. are all very friendly, outgoing and fun. I just wish I had some of their energy. Of course working in a coffee shop, I guess you would. I frequent this establishment very frequently. The one on Caldwell Blvd is open 24 hours.

I love Hamburger Connection. The facility is spotless, which is important to me. If you utilize the drive through, the service is prompt.
I love the fries, and fry sauce has a nice smoky taste. The burgers are super juicy and the shakes are top notch.
Try it, you'll like it.

Coffee, baked goods, tables, a couch and even an upstairs seating area! Very comfortable and pleasant environment with friendly baristas.

Visit Indian Creek Steakhouse in downtown Caldwell for the best hand-picked & hand-cut steaks, seafood and chicken cooked over an Applewood fire that you can see from your table. Two kitchens, two bars and two dining areas; your choice. Live music on select weekends.
I wasn't sure what to expect as this steakhouse is in a run down area of Caldwell. Although there are exciting and positive signs of revitalizing downtown Caldwell and this area. We were transposed to another world when we stepped in. Not only was the smoked meat smell fabulous but the ambience was wild west saloon. The service was excellent. The wait staff friendly and efficient and checked on us frequently even though it was busy. The owner was supervising and also checked on everyone to make sure of satisfaction. The rib eye philly was delicious. My friend said her hamburger was one of the best she has ever had. The prices at lunch were average and just fine for the quality of food...$10-14 a plate. I will definitely be visiting again and again...everytime I'm in Caldwell! My only complaint...I would have liked the fries to be thick cut steak fries. They were a tasty but slimmer cut fry.

This was our last dinner on a long road trip. The menu is varied, with burgers, sandwiches, steaks, and Chinese food (the owner/operators appear to be Oriental). Food prices are reasonable, but it seemed the bar tab was excessive, for one glass of wine and one beer. We ordered Hunan Chicken and Teriyaki Beef Bowl (rice bowl). The chicken was spicy, but the rice was gooey, but the meal was tasty. The beef bowl was okay.

On Valentine's Day we just didn't feel like cooking or competing for a table at a crowded place. We picked The Sunrise specifically because we suspected it would not be crowded on Valentine's Day. We were right.
Now the meal: Aimee ordered chili and said it was very good. It didn't seem to something warmed from a can but actually made from scratch. We'll done, Sunrise!
I had a hankering for the biscuit and sausage gravy, having been on a health kick and depriving myself for a few years. The biscuit was a tad doughy from being a tiny bit undercooked but somehow still quite tasty. The cream gravy was delicious but definately lacking in sausage. There was about one good bite of meat in the entire plateful. But as I said, very good flavor.
We understand that prices are rising everywhere and we appreciate The Sunrise trying to keep prices down ... but, personally, I'd gladly pay a bit more if that's what it takes to load up my sausage gravy like it used to be.
The service was excellent and the dinning area was spotlessly clean. We'll be back. Please stock up the on the sausage for the gravy.
