We were looking for a food destination for a cycle ride, and this was a great stop for us. My husband loved the chili dogs, I had the WVa dog, and shared a large order of chili cheese fries.
It's a very casual restaurant where patrons go to the drink station and select their own drink. We were there after the typical lunch hour so some of the tables still needed bussing, but they were taken care of quickly.
The waitress was very friendly, helpful, and stopped to check how we were doing several times. As we left, she remembered where we were from and asked us to come back.
Excellent informal restaurant in an interesting town.

We stopped here last year while at the Mopar Nationals and decided to definitely stop again this year. We see a lot of local people eating here so it must be good! We had a small half meat lover's and half Hawaian pizza - there was so much meat on the meat lovers and ditto on the Hawaian side. It puts other pizza-only places to shame. We had to finish the meal with sundaes. Their single scoop is equivalent to other places 2 scoop sundaes! Mine also included fresh strawberries on it - not the kind you find out of a bag. My wife had the caramet sundae and it was all she could do to finish it. My friend from Baltimore MD and his wife were also with us and they both raved about the food and the service. Yes, the service was great!

Growing up in a neighboring town, Hayman's was a summer staple. Now that I've moved out of town, it is a must every time I visit family in the summer months. Their soft serve has a consistency that I cannot find anywhere else......and I've looked! The strawberry and raspberry flavors are phenomenal! In addition to ice cream, their food is tasty. Prices are very reasonable. Admittedly, with teenage employees behind the counter, service is better on some days than others. Beyond that, Hayman's is a mom & pop gem in Hebron that is worth the trip every time.

This quaint old time ice cream shop has a great variety of cones, milkshakes and sundae's. The walls are lined with vintage photos and old time booths that look out on the waterfront. You can also relax out on the large covered front porch... Homey atmosphere, great snacks, and local flavor... and a great place to just take a break.

Our last stop in "tour" of the Buckeye Lake region, this was a good place to unwind. Friendly staff, a small but nice selection of beers and overall inviting atmosphere. Iver the course of the day I tried several of their beers. They were good, none stood out as my next go-to beer. Almost all are relatively low IBUs. For instance, the Pontoon Pale ale was around 32. The Irish Red did stand out a bit, and the Extra Special Bitter was so-so. That said, beer tastes differ so it's hard to guess what others may think. The bar itself is worth a visit. The food trucks were long gone by the time we got there (around 10), and even the popcorn machine was off and cleaned up for the night. Definitely the feeling that that staff was itching to close up by 10:45. Life on a lake I guess.

My granddaughter who lives in Columbus bought a Groupon for a wine and cheese tasting for four. My wife and I joined our granddaughter and her boyfriend for a 1:00PM wine tasting. Mackey was our wine consultant for the tasting. While she may not have been the most knowledgeable wine consultant that I have been around, she was friendly, pleasant and fun. We were all pleasantly surprised by the 8 wines that we tasted. All of them were quite drinkable. In fact, I bought a case of three different white wines to take with. The cheese and cracker plate was tasty and had grapes with it. The lakeside view is great. All in all, we had a great experience and will come back to try foods from the menu.

We met up with some friends to celebrate a bday. We went around 6 on a Friday night. We didn't have trouble parking or getting a table big enough for our group. Our waitress was very nice and she did her best to keep up as it did get busier through the night. There was a problem with one of the Stromboli orders but the waitress made up for it later by bringing out the correct one. She was great at getting us drink refills too. Some of the food came out at diff times but it wasn't a major issue. We thought the Stromboli was good but nothing special. We really liked the spicy garlic chicken pizza and the fried mushrooms. The mushrooms were really big and good! We also liked that they had an assortment of craft beers. I wish they had a drink and beer menu tho. They also have a juke box which is a plus but I didn't see it until the end of the night so I was bummed I didn't get to play any songs. Be careful if you park along the side of the building. Backing out onto 13 can be tricky.

This was one of our favorite lunch spots. Not any more. No sushi. Plain as-I-cook-at-home food. Some new faces. The food was, at best, good. My rice was cool upon delivery, but the main entre was hot. We are sad to see the deterioration of a good thing.

On the water, lots of live entertainment both on stage and your fellow diners, too. Christy's pizza is always good. Best long islands this side of the Mississippi. Beer always cold, food always hot and just about the best service on Buckeye Lake. Whether by boat, motorcycle, car, golf cart or on foot, get to Papa Boo's.
Oh yeah, you can apparently bring your dog on a leash, but who the hell brings a dog to a bar, with a hundred people eating and drinking all day/night? (Answer: the one's who need attention.) Be nice to your mutt...Leave him at home.
