Cerise features contemporary European cuisine inspired by Chef Ben & his wife Elena Thomas' time abroad and love of open-air markets; those found in every neighborhood with fresh produce, game, cheeses and milk and incredible boiling and bubbling dishes from diverse ethnicities. The dishes will highlight the lighter more modern side of European cuisine, and the diversity of dishes represented by the region's varied landscapes. The name 'Cerise' (French for 'cherry'), is inspired by the cherry season that marks the most abundant time of year in Europe's farm regions and markets.Cerise offers guests a four-course prix fixe menu, with several options for each course. Expect to be full, but not over-stuffed, by meal's end! On Wednesdays and Sundays, a three-course prix fixe option will also be available. We are also open for brunch Saturday and Sunday.
Have eaten her two times. I'm somewhat of a foodie so I won't return to a restaurant that doesn't have good food. Cerise is prix fixe and won't disappoint. And, it's a byob. I have found the food to be very good, the staff to be attentive, personable and well informed, and the dining room intimate. All around a good choice.

This place has calmed down slightly (only slightly) from the early days when long lines forced you to maneuver the mounds of Main-Liners. I confess that waiting in a yuppified, gentrified, line to eat in a place that has no liquor license, is not my cup of green tea.
Still, the food remains terrific. A little spicy for me and a little curried, but a cut above the usual Chinese and Asian fare out here. This is not to belittle the Asian cuisine out in the Wynnewood, Bryn Mawr, Ardmore, Haverford , Havertown area which is top-notch in many places.
The decor is...well...Chinese...clean...nothing special and not likely to win any interior design awards.
We took home a variety. Great dim sum dumplings, spareribs falling off the bone and wonderfully flavored, pork lo mein, rice etc. And they do have a way with vegetables. Pea pods, carrots, green beans... you name it.
Again, not very top of my list, but close to the top for my wife, Barbara...and that definitely counts for a lot.

What started as an edgy spot in West Philadelphia has become an "Oh so fancy" typical main line "fashion statement". Food OK but overpriced, reservation was "missing", creating long wait. Servers indifferent.. Mostly two Glasses of overpriced wine and salad clientele. But regular "Well Dressed" crowd seems happy and at home there.

Not your average menu here, first of all a brick oven with grilled food and pizza coming out if the wood burning fire oven. Smokey flavors , with great ingredients make the food outstanding. Nice cocktail menu with really intelligent bar staff, and a good selection og beer

Only after ordering did I realise the Belgian theme to my meal. I had selected Brussels Sprouts (stir-fried Asian style with peanuts - delicious) followed by Moules Frites. The wine we selected however was an American Cabernet Sauvignon and came with the added bonus of...MoreWe appreciate the great review and will be sure to share with our team. And lots of other tasty treats, too. The super-rich chocolate cakes are among my many favorites indulgences at The Bakery House. But the caramel apple pies, carrot cakes, lemon bars are also delectable. They do quite a good job packing so many delicious items into such a small storefront.

Have been tons of times before - brunch, nights out on the patio for drinks, dinner. Went back last night with my daughter and we had an absolutely fabulous experience. Service was stupendous from the time we were seated by Paige through our server Mahim. He was attentive, friendly, gave a great recommendation on my meal, and was awesome from start to finish. Menu is improved and massive, dining room has been recently updated again, and the beer list is even better then the last time I was there. We started with tortilla chips, which came with salsa, sour cream and guacamole. Yum. Great kids menu, with lots of choices. I almost went with the special, but our wonderful server recommended the triple decker reuben, which was fabulous. Dessert was great as well, and we both had a blast. Wonderful night, looking forward to getting back! Thanks for a great time.

Their cookies are very good. They have been around for years which says enough on its own! They have a wide selection and will decorate the box for different occasions. Kids love them!
