Came to eat at the Village Hearthstone Restaurant after spending the day hiking at High Cliff State Park on the weekend you get to go for free (first full weekend in June). I met the nice hostess who promptly seated me. Shortly thereafter I met...MoreThank you for the wonderful review!

We have had the tenderloin for two the last three visits to Cobblestone Creek and each time it has been done to perfection. So tender and tasty! We have had the same young man serving us and he has been excellent! This was a real find and only 30 minutes from home!

Ate breakfast at Railway Junction yesterday for the first time and thought the food was fantastic. A friend recommended it to me as a good breakfast location. Mind you Forest Junction is a small town, so don't expect eggs benedict or some other fancy breakfast. This place serves your overall normal breakfasts - eggs, bacon, hash browns, omelets, french toast, and pancakes. I had the mushroom and cheese omelet which was one of the better omelets I've had in a long time. The toast is made from home-made bread. I normally eat a slice of toast since most toast is from bread which comes from a bag. This toast was amazing. I gobbled down three pieces in a flash with a bit of jam. There is nothing like toast made from home-made bread.
Overall, the prices were decent and breakfast won't be a drain on the pocketbook. They also serve lunch and I believe dinner.
Casual dining location situated off to the side of the gas station at the junction of Hwy 10 and Hwy 57.

Destination dining at its finest. We are located 15 minutes west of Manitowoc. Exceptional contemporary American cuisine, such as steaks, pastas, chicken and seafood. Offering nightly specials. Join us in a warm bistro style atmosphere that was a renovated 1800's tavern. Will open for lunch on private parties of 20 or more.
When it comes to food and service, the staff at Al Corso get it. They know how to deliver an amazing horseradish covered salmon and a flawless duck. Attention to detail was also obvious with pre-dinner drinks and post-dinner dessert. BUT, if you go there, be sure to bring a parka - the hooded kind you wear in the dead of winter. I don't think the temperature in the dining room ever got above 60 degrees. I saw no less than 5 staff people playing with the thermometer as they passed it near the kitchen entrance. Yup, the food came out hot, but our plates quickly lost its appeal when we used them to try to keep our fingers warm.

Haven't eaten at DQ for a long time, so I was drawn in by the idea of a baked Turkey lettuce bacon and tomato sandwich. Once inside, I spotted the pumpkin pie shake. Oh my, embracing fall flavors! As good as I remember--75 years of fans the anniversary cup said!

Our family has eaten here several times and never disappointed. Typical pub and grub menu, small town atmosphere where we often run into someone we know. Reasonably priced and you order sandwich and sides separately so you can customize your meal as you'd like. We generally order burgers and 4 of us split two sides, mixing it up with 2 of the 3: french fries, curds, or onion rings. I did try the fish sandwich the last time we stopped and while not bad, probably will go back to a burger the next time. If it's crowded, you may have a bit of a wait as the grill area is fairly small, but always friendly service.

I got the enchiladas supremas (comes with one beef, chicken, cheese, and bean enchilada) and it was AWFUL! No flavour in any of it; including the beans and rice on the side. My dinner partner got the steak quesadilla. The steak tasted good, but everything else was disgusting. Absolutely will not be going back. Authentic is not a word to be used here. Taco bell has better food.

First of all, Ethel's location is a little hidden in the downtown area of Brillion....on the East side of Main St., it's worth looking for.
The burgers are yummy and the appetizers a meal in themselves. You shouldn't go away hungry if you stop in! Try the loaded tater tots....I think an Ethel's exclusive.
It's not a giant place, but it's great for families (little arcade in the back), and a very "home town" kind of place.
A full bar rounds out the great aspects of Ethel's. If you're looking for tons of ambiance or a place for romance, this probably isn't it. If you're looking for a happy & full belly--search no more!

I saw the new sign, and was intrigued to stop when they are open: 6:30 am-2 pm, Monday to Friday. The first thing you see is the option board of FUN flavors for the protein shake meal alternatives--we chose chocolate chip cookie dough and the Flavor of the Week: sea salt and caramel. YUM! Included in our meal bundle was a shot of aloe and a cup of tea. Very friendly service willing to explain how it all works! Already talking about returning to try some of the other flavor alternatives.

I was recently introduced to Van Abel's by friends who live in the area. Seems it's a local tradition, the Friday night fish fry. Especially popular with large families. The place was packed and we waited about an hour to be seated and I was told that was to be expected. We waited at the bar and talked to everyone around us. Everyone seemed to know each other because they've probably been coming here for years. The food was good, perch and pike, breaded and fried. Homemade cole slaw, potatoes. Everything very tasty and the experience itself worth the price of admission.
