Fine casual dining in Zoar's original tavern and inn.
Nice little restaurant in a historic building. I’d recommend eating a premeal before coming here though. I ordered the brat sandwich and the bun was twice the size of the brat. Everyone else’s meal seemed on the smaller side except the kids, which seemed the size of ours. The food tasted good, so whatever. Service was nice and prices were ok. There was a cool patio, which probably rocks in the summer. Beer selection is pretty good. The draw here is eating in a historic building.

Before the Dairy Queen was remodeled the service was excellent. Now not so much. I have had wrong blizzards made, wrong milkshakes made, to go orders with no lids, and ice cream melting while waiting for hot food. My neighbor ordered a quart of ice cream and they asked if he was going to eat in. I have sent messages to the corporate office with no response. Unfortunately, this DQ is the only ice cream in town (although you can get a cone at the diner). Best bet is to stay away from this place.

I've only been here once and it was for a luncheon for work. It's not what I expected at all. Extremely over priced and just a weird set up. The food was okay, but nothing to rav about. I don't plan on going back.

The docents recommended the pub highly, and they were correct, as the food was very good and pretty inexpensive. I had a $9 Turkey reuben. with a $1.99 upcharge from a side of fries to the best ham and bean soup ever, and my husband was happy with his hummus veggie wrap and handcut fries. The servers were friendly and attentive. Apparently the pub also does catering for the area weddings because there was loud conversation about this. The building was old, and inside were displays of the era, but it definitely is a pub for the current residents of Zoar, so there were TV sports shows and loud rock music blaring, which gave me a bit of a problem being in the German Zoar frame of mind, but I consoled myself with the fact that I was having sauerkraut!

We have never been disappointed in anything we've ever ordered here. Service is usually great along with the food. Great variety on the menu also. Sandwiches, pasta etc. Breakfast is not served here.

If you like hard dipped ice cream, this is a good place to get it. The ice cream is rich and flavorful. The ice cream store shares place with a sports apparel store. The place seemed to be popular with the locals.

Sublime Smoke Fine BBQ and Craft Brew has grown from a food truck & 14 seat carryout to its current footprint of 50 guests indoors and 40 patio/picnic seats. Patrons are greeted as they arrive and will order at our checkout counter. Guests can then seat themselves in the main dining room & bar, home to 16 taps and up to 100 craft beer selections from Ohio and rest of the USA. Our food runners will then deliver the meals and check in periodically to see if anything else is needed. Full table service is not provided.

Our BBQ is 100% wood fired, with a blend of oak, hickory, and cherry lending smooth wood flavor to all meats that we prepare on site. All sauces and side dishes are made in house as well. Make sure that you leave room for a warm cast iron cookie, and make it a la mode if you are feeling indulgent.
A great environment for those that love craft brew and barbecue! Every time I visit, I always seem to meet someone new from out-of-town and frankly, that speaks for itself! There's a reason people are driving miles to eat here and you should too!

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Some say it is pricey but do you ever go through a fast food restaurant or a chain restaurant. Your bill is not much different. I love their steaks, baked potatoes fill a plate, the salad is good and the garlic bread. It is a very popular place in the Burg and surrounding area.

My husband and I were heading for Mt Hope on Saturday and a bad rain started so we decided to stop for breakfast. My phone led us to The Canal Street Diner in Bolivar, Oh. It is located on Canal St. in a small but middle of America village. Barbie was our nice waitress and the menu had very traditional breakfast items and the prices were good. I had French toast with bacon and my husband eggs, toast and sausage grits and gravy. All was served with good coffee. Although it is small, what sets this Diner apart is the atmosphere and service. We saw several shops that would be fun to stop into.
