My husband and I were driving through the
Poconos and wanted to find a unique place to stop for lunch... definitely found it! The environment is a lot of fun - tables are surrounded by vintage wallpapers, small antique gifts for sale, window dressings, etc... we even had an astrology book placed at our table.
Recommend getting a hot chocolate or fresh flavored coffee (we had chocolate raspberry). It’s served in a giant mug and you can get it loaded with with whipped cream & syrup too.

Breakfast and lunch served all day
Visiting the area for a family wedding, we headed to the Chat N Chew for breakfast Sunday morning. When we arrived at the nondescript store front diner, they were experiencing a brisk local business, so our large group of 13 had to wait for a table. Once seated, coffee and tea were promptly served and orders taken. The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch only, and like all diners, breakfast is always available. The breakfast menu was extensive and included the regular eggs, pancakes and waffles. The interior is a mix of tables and booths with an eclectic collection of wall plaques for decoration. The food was hot, with ample portions, and just as ordered. Everyone was pleased with their meal and several took doggie bags home as they were unable to finish their servings. We will return to the Chat-n-Chew when we are next in the area.

We came here for breakfast, and were definitely not disappointed with the food. The menu has typical breakfast fair, with the German pancakes being the standout option. The food comes out quickly and is very good. I had regular pancakes and bacon, but was able to try the potatoes, eggs, and German pancakes by picking off of my family's plates. The waitress we had was very efficient and a little brusque in her manner of taking orders and speaking, but she brought out the food quickly and there were no major issues. The food is incredibly cheap here too, but be aware it's cash only and there is an ATM that has a surcharge. Would definitely eat here again!

Awesome service, great food, large portions. Biscuits and gravy were great and the best I’ve had in a long time, maybe ever. Make it a stop on your next trip to the area.

The hotel we were staying at re
commended Murphy's Loft.
We walked into "rustic" bar and girl behind bar said to sit anywhere. We sat at table in dining room and no one EVER came to the table. We could hear that orders were being taken in the bar but apparently you have to sit on a bar stool to get waited on. Very poor service (we got our own menus out of slot on wall) and can't comment on food because we never got so much as a glass of water. We walked out.

For those of you who crave a slice or other Italian specialty just like your neighborhood place in the New York, New Jersey, or Philadelphia area, Dominic's fills the bill. Order at the window and pick up your food at the counter; no table service. The wait is not long and either soft drinks or an alcoholic drink is available with your meal. This seems to be the local spot to pick up a pie and a six pack, but it is very family friendly. The side room has lots of arcade games to play while you wait. A straight forward, friendly, pizza joint..

We went here twice for dinner during our trip to Lake Harmony. Both the food and the service were good. Our first night there Vickie was our server and she was efficient and personable. I would definitely recommend going here for dinner, it's on Boulder Lake with a view of the mountain and nice snowy sunsets.

We were pleasantly surprised by this Chinese restaurant. It is located in a small strip mall along Rt. 940 at Blakeslee Corners. The dining area has a lot of tables and booths that are spaced apart nicely. It was clean and well-heated, especially for December in the Poconos. The menu had a lot of choices and the prices were very reasonable. Our food was very good and the portions were large. The night we were there quite a few other people were dining inside and they had a huge takeout business. We will definitely go back to this place.

Louie's Prime is fine dining in a casual atmosphere. We take pride in our menu, presentation and service. We offer high quality steaks and creative dishes. We have a full service bar and an excellent wine list with 15+ wine by the glass.
Love it here! Great food and atmosphere. Whether we want steak or pasta there is always something on the menu or specials to please all. There appetizers are wonderful too. I love the mushrooms, just wish I had someone to share them with! Make reservations and don't be afraid to sit at the bar.
